Looking for general tips. I don't have a head for this sort of thing.
- Best tips I can give you are as follows: Browse around the VV and if you find a layout, style, look or aspect of a VV page you like then go to edit, copy and paste to something like notepad and be prepared to tweak for a good bit yourself. A 'sandbox' or 'sandpit' type page can help with this as it lets you save things and keep them there and when you end up with a final result you like you can simply copy and paste the relevant codes from there to your main page. My own sandpit page is here.
For tweaking codes you might want to keep a seperate window open for the different hex color codes. I myself use this website and find it helps. Make extensive use of the preview button when tweaking colours as that lets you figure out which bit of code affects which thing and don't forget to credit the original coders from the other pages.
