History

Although most of Tyrone Benjamin Palmer/the Maddener's life during and after college became known to the American government after his aprehention, his impoverished state as a child lead to many missing details of his childhood. What little is known is that he was born to single mother Angel Palmer in the Bronx District of New York City, New York on April 4th, 1978. He was deprived schooling until taken at an undisclosed time by a social work group and put into foster care, where his brilliant mind for engineering and human psychology became apparent. After graduating high school he attended Michigan State University seeking a degree in psychology, later recieving his doctorate in the subject and eventually becoming a professor at the university. This is all that is publicly known of his early life.

Powers and Abilities

Though the Maddener has no inherent superhuman powers, his powered suit allows for a number of superhuman atributes, the most visible being the suit's stealth and superhuman speed capabilities. When in Stealth Mode, the suit generates a vibrational field within a short vicinity of the wearer, and is able to render the suit and whatever clothing being worn over the suit practically invisible, giving the Maddener, who isn't particularly apt at fighting, more of an advantage in battle. Stealth mode also loosens its outer level fibers, making the steps of the wearer soft to the point where they're practically unhearable. When in Speed Mode, the wearer's speed is increased to levels far beyond those achievable by normal human standards, and though the Maddener hasn't tested the suit to its full speed in fears of it overheating and shutting down, his speed is still phenominal even when cut back from its full potential.

Arguably the Maddener's most profound achievment is his mask however. Though its eye scopes, which use similar technology to Arachnos operative helmets, are useful in analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of his enemies, the mask's psychic properties are what allow the Maddener to truly shine. Not a psychic himself, the Maddener's mask uses a number of wires interfacing with technology in the primary suit that are plugged directly into specific areas of the brain, granting psychic abilities to an otherwise normal human mind. His knowledge of the human nervous system comes in handy here, as he can short circuit certain nerves connected to the brain to shut down areas of the body, such as organs, muscles, etc., and can amplify/apply pain to areas where there otherwise would be none through this same meathod.

The Maddener also quickly learned that his suit would be completely inneffective against those without brains to tap into; i.e. robots. To counter attacks from such things, the Maddener designed a small EMP generator within his suit, allowing him to send out a relatively short rrange pulse of electromagnetism that briefly shuts down robotic adversaries.

The Maddener is regularly upgrading the systems of his suit and mask as well as looking at the human nervous, muscle, brain, and psychological systems, slowly giving himself more and more power as time goes on. His technological genius makes this process go more smoothly, but it's still a slow, arduous road full of trial and error.

Weaknesses

Though a technological genius and psychological torment expert, the Maddener is far from capable in open battle. Not a good shot and a poor fighter, the Maddener quickly falls when it comes to true combat if his opponent is able to fight past his mental assaults, and though his height is a theoretical advantage, the Maddener is simply not a fighter at heart. The Maddener's suit is also not designed for battle, and doesn't in any way enhance the Maddener's strength, fighting prowess, or durability, though the latter can be stabilized somewhat by wearing more battle fit clothing over his suit, which he typically does (the business-esque attire he often wears over his suit hides kevlar layering, for example).

Personality

While the Maddener is more than socially adept and can be a very charismatic, likable person, he chooses to instead pass of a facade of being an emotionless sociopath to make his presence more chilling, seeming like something completely inhuman. The Maddener prides himself at being theatrical but at the same time effective, and his actions when in his Maddener persona could be likened to a supernatural hunter/stalker.The strange, bio organic appearance of his suit (without any coverings) adds to this illusion.

The Maddener has extreme nihilistic leanings, which he shares with Bad Dream and formed a bond with the terrorist during their initial conversations in their few meetings in the past. The Maddener's view of the world is that there truly is no such thing as "life", and that what is regarded as life to the masses is only conciousness and nothing more. Because of this belief the Maddener seems to have little to no empathy towards those he torments, and he prefers using his psychic power in subtle ways, letting the victim pull their life apart themselves rather than the Maddener himself directly doing so.

The Maddener is a fan of sports, specifically Basketball and Football, having played both in high school and Basketball in college. He doesn't enjoy talking about his love of sports however, as he believe it dampers the appearance of his distancing himself from all humanity, in a sense making him seem more human than monster by admiting this. He still enjoys playing Basketball on his own in his free time, but rarely ever plays with anyone else for the same aformentioned reasons.
