Thimble
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
A few of my thoughts on Thimble: I really like how this character turned out. He was the second I made but quickly became my main. Playing someone so small is a great challenge but also a fun one. It's interesting to play as someone's whose 'strengths' lie in their demeanor and raw support. I hope you all enjoy RPing with Thimble as much as I enjoy RPing as him. Don't hesitate to approach him and instigate RP. If you have any questions about him, I'm happy to answer.

Description
Physical
Thimble is extremely small. Between two and three inches tall. He has a somewhat lanky appearance that's grown almost stocky. Fresh and toned muscles now give a little bulk to what was once a twig. His hair is a wavey and turbulent mess he almost never combs; it shapes itself. His own dye experiment gone wrong, it's colored red with a few light purple transitions towards the edge. From his back protrude thin gossamer wings that are red and black. They extend a short length out of his back in four straight points. He has taken to these like a fish to water and hardly ever walks anymore. His features are soft and often very expressive; typically, he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He's also more easily spotted than before, due to the development of a soft red-hued glow he emits now.
Personality
Thimble is an easy-going young man but tends to run his mouth at the wrong times. A deep sarcastic nature has neatly rooted itself firmly in him, a fairly common trait for someone his age. He questions the machinations of the world at large and won't hesitate to tell you what's on his mind. Due to his current condition, he's been slowly undergoing some psyche transformations that have affected his personality at large. He seems to be very inquisitive and curious, trying to figure everyone, and himself, out. Before the metamorphosis he was very reclusive, usually scuzzing others off in favor of speaking with them. Now however, he reaches out to everyone; attempting to help them in any way possible. His mood more often than not reflects those around him as well; a double edged sword that has gotten him in and out of trouble on countless occasions.
Powers
Thimble's powers are directly related to the mysterious Fae magicks that made him what he is.
Healing
Concentrating the most basic of his energies allows him to heal wounds in others. The larger the wound, the more concentration required. However, Thimble is unable to heal himself as quickly as he can others. This is due to the difficulty of concentrating on oneself while in pain. Ironically, his Fae brethren have the opposite problem and hardly ever heal outsiders.
Empathic
By being able to visualize his target as a stronger individual, Thimble is able to weave his Fae energies into bursts of strength and power. These buffs range from increased accuracy, perception, defenses, and pure attack strength. He is even able to free someone from their bonds or terrors through much the same method. Outside of battle, Thimble is able to feel the stronger emotions bubbling on the surfaces of others' minds. He cannot directly read any sort of thoughts, nor can he attack the mind through this method. Lately, however, it seems that just being around Thimble seems to be helpful. As long as his mood stays positive, an entire small team may be granted small bonuses to various of their skills, and their emotions might be strengthened.
Archery
Although not a 'power' per-say, Thimble has an uncanny sense of marksmanship with the bow. As a Human, David couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. But when he was transformed, he was granted the innate ability of supreme archery from the Fae. By no means however does this mean his attacks with a bow are powerful. Rather, he knows the location of vital nerves and tendons. Knowledge he uses to carefully and safely bring his targets down. These days though, you'd be hard pressed to find him with a bow in hand.
Flight
With his tiny wings, Thimble is able to fly at astonishing speeds for one so small. This gives him some minor agility bonuses when overcoming some challenges. It's also rumored that the red dust on his wings is the source of his airborne ability and can cause others to fly... But he'll never admit it!
Super Groups
Jadewire
For many years, Thimble was an active member of the Jadewire. However, due to differences of opinion and a sinister plot, Thimble finally chose to move on and tell these one-time family turned strangers goodbye
Teen Phalanx
Now Thimble serves as a proud member of the ranks of Paragon's finest and youngest; The Teen Phalanx. Here his skills are constantly put to the test and he volunteers his time through-out several departments. David has found a happy home here and lives in the dorm with his wife, Rachel Letrick.
Current Events
Thimble continues to study at Paragon University for more medical training but he has already received a special license to treat and operate on anyone registered as a Hero. The downside is as far as regular medical practices go, Thimble is not legally allowed to be any ordinary citizen's practicing doctor. All of this would be hard enough but now he realizes he's been leaking magic this entire time at an alarming rate. Worse yet, anyone with the proper knowledge could easily take advantage of him and "leech" his energy. As such he has finally come up with the resolution that he will finally discover who and what he has truly become. With rumors of latent powers and the potential loss of his sanity abound, Thimble now descends into what has become the darkest season of his career. However, he refuses to give up and is still ever the optimist!
History
David Letrick and Rachel Fawning were always the best of friends. When Rachel spawned an obsession with heroes, David followed suit in a lesser fashion. He didn't much care for the glamour and glitz. Instead, he'd take notes for Rachel, always keeping tabs on the most up to date information on her current hero flavor of the week. He took part in several of Rachel's hair-brained schemes to actually become a hero; most of which resulted in a serious bruise or a week of sick leave from school. In the most severe cases, he suffered a broken wrist and went to the hospital for consumption of a poisonous substance. After the latter, Rachel vowed to him that they'd never try anything again unless it was a for-sure thing. Unfortunately for them both, this would happen sooner than later.
The Circle of Thorns and the Book of Fae Magick
One day while watching the news for recent hero sightings, the pair found a Live scene being broadcast only two blocks away. Eager to see some heroes dispatch Circle of Thorns cultists up close, Rachel dragged David to the site immediately. They arrived just seconds before the issue was dissolved, much to Rachel's dismay. However, while wandering around the battle-littered street, they chanced upon a unique find. A weathered but highly ornate old tome. Rachel was overjoyed. David was skeptical. Nevertheless, he agreed to help her take it home and translate it. The process of translation was sluggish and frustrating at best. Their teachers were no help and even the local library only had minor guidance. As usual, the internet came through in the end and they successfully translated roughly a third of the book. It turned out to be a book written by fairies, or "Fae". A book of their spells to be precise. Most of it was useless in Rachel's eyes, but one spell in particular caught her eye and forever warped their destinies and lives.
The Spell
The spell in question was simple in design. Roughly translated it would empower one individual with the strength of another. David grudgingly accepted his role as the latter. He would give his strength to Rachel so that she would finally grasp her dream, but David would be left forever weakened and fail. He wasn't upset by this prospect, however. Rachel was his best friend; one of the few he had. If he could help her realize her potential, well that was just fine with him. A cold day after school they both detoured from their normal route home, taking sanctuary within an abandoned warehouse. The spell circle was drawn out and David stood in the middle with his arms folded against the chill. Rachel lit the candles at all five points and began the incantation. The world around him began to enlarge and tower over him. His clothes felt heavy and too many sizes too big. The last thing he remembered before passing out was seeing the fire in Rachel's eyes.
Aftermath
When he awoke, the cogs of fate had finally turned. He found himself frighteningly small while Rachel towered over even normal people. Once his initial fear subsided, Rachel explained to him that the ritual had failed. The candles reacted to the magical energies and the entire warehouse caught fire. She admitted she barely had time to rescue him and get out of there, but that she had managed to save the book. Already they begin to note other changes beyond the physical and so with heavy hearts they decided to seek out the definition of their fates. Met with only limited success, the pair decided to practice what they knew in hopes of still attaining the dream of becoming a hero at the very least.
Stella Morte and Thimble
It was only a matter of time before Rachel became a hero as she had always desired. Donning the name 'Stella Morte', she insisted that David should follow suit. Not able to say no at this point, (and too easily carried down to the administration office, with or without his consent), David also become registered as a hero. Stella Morte decided his name for him; Thimble. Now with a new alias he roams around Paragon City, discovering more about himself and helping those who need it. Many heroes and heroines swear by his healing powers already, but Thimble doesn't think of himself as a hero yet. He feels that only time and experience will earn that title for him.
