Personality

US Trooper has a deep sense of duty and honor, and is willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good. Due to his military upbringing, he has little patience for those without discipline, and those who lack a respect for authority. US Trooper himself has a commanding presence, and others in his company often defer to his lead.

Character History

US Trooper in flight.
Rick Donnelly grew up wanting nothing more then to be a super hero. He often read about the exploits of the World War II heroes known as Major Flagg and the Fighting Five. Rick studied Karate and boxing extensively when he was in high school, and was a star athlete. When Rick turned 18, he joined the Army. He spent three years with the 75th Ranger Regiment, including a tour in Afghanistan, and was discharged honorably. After attending college at USC, Rick decided the time was right.

Rick relocated to Paragon City after reading an article in Time Magazine about the high crime-rate and the city’s open call for heroes to battle it. Being extremely patriotic, Rick designed a costume to represent the country he loves so much, and entered the frey.

For some time, Rick focused his efforts on street gangs, such as the Hellions and the Skulls. It was during this period when he ran across the Council. These fascists seemed to represent everything that was wrong with humanity, and he made it his personal mission to rid the world of their organization. However, this proved to be a large task, and one that Rick himself wondered if he was up to. But just when he was ready to back off, a mysterious and still unknown benefactor delivered a package with a note saying "Use it well." Inside was an advanced suit, designed after his own costume. The suit granted Rick the power to fly, and seemed to enhance his already considerable health and fitness. After some practice, Rick mastered the dynamics of the suit, and has begun using it in his personal war on crime.

Abilities

Rick is a highly trained hand-to-hand combatant, a superior athlete, and is near the peak of human physical condition.

Powers

As a result of the suit given to him, US Trooper is able to fly at high speeds, and with great maneuverability. Additionally, the suit also allows him to "regenerate" damage taken. Although it is surmised that the suit is merely tapping into a latent meta-human ability.
