Powers
In the world the White Hawk comes from, the rediscovery of magic in the New World has led to the definition of a variety of schools of thought describing its use, such as the Sorceries of Alchemy, of Ritual, and of Runes.
Sorcery of Will
The primary means by which Hank Foley exercises his power is known as the Sorcery of Will (such practitioners are typically referred to as wizards). This form of magic is a rare science indeed, but he has unlocked its secrets. Foley has learned to perceive the ebb and flow of magical energies in the natural world, to draw such energies into his own body, and to redirect them to cause immediate change in the world in accordance with his will.
Foley's ability in this dimension is presently hampered by his ignorance of the laws by which magic operates here. Nevertheless, he is beginning to adapt his practices to capitalize on this world's potentials. He mainly uses his magic to enhance the metabolism of his allies and sap the vitality of his foes. Offensively, he hurls bolts of eldritch energy and clouds of asphyxiating magical fog.
Abilities
Dragon Slaying
Though the White Hawk was feared and respected for his arcane prowess alone, it was his exploits as a slayer of dragons that made him a true legend throughout the Fantastic West. His chief advantage in hunting the monsters was his keen aim, a trait he is proud to say is not magically enhanced -- it was said that he could hurl a choking fog spell down the gullet of a fire-breather from a mile away.
Spirit Binding
Before he discovered the power that shattered his face and nearly took his life, Hank Foley spent a number of years as an apprentice diviner, with a focus on the necromantic arts. He directed his studies down this path in order to command the spirits of the dead to unveil secret sources of magical power and knowledge that would make him even more powerful and eventually unlock to him the secrets of the Sorcery of Will.
Equipment
Runic Foci
In the bandoliers that cross his chest he keeps a number of stone tokens etched with runes. Early in his sorcerous career these were the full extent of his ability; with the power he later tapped and mastered, they served primarily as a means to narrow his focus and quickly call upon a specific application of his vast magical reserves.
Nowadays they are seeing considerably more use; these talismans help him to hone in on the strange energies of this world so that he might eventually recapture some measure of the power he once knew.
Betsy & Delilah
Twin six-shooters forged of elven steel stay holstered at his hips at all times, once hosts to his spirit familiars Betsy and Delilah. At his right hand is Betsy, her ivory handle etched with golden angel's wings; at his left is Delilah, her ebony handle decorated with the silver outline of a demon's. It used to be said that the White Hawk could take a fairy out from between its wings with a single shot from either -- were he so barbarously inclined, that is.
In this world his familiars are silent -- they may even be lost forever -- and the pistols shoot only lead, not the mithril and brimstone bullets that once they summoned.

((Player Notes))
- White Hawk Foley was originally a Sonic/Fire blaster, with essentially the same back story; he was my second CoX character ever and my first on Virtue. That Foley, still gimped as ****, still exists on Test.
- Foley was my first character not exclusive to CoX -- I originally created him for the RhyDin setting on AOL nearly a decade ago, but never did get around to playing him more than once or twice there. Always dug the concept though, and thought I could make him mesh well with the CoXverse.
- Name was inspired by the character of Jack Foley in Elmore Leonard's Out of Sight (before the movie was made, but even so I could actually see George Clooney as suitable casting for the White Hawk).
