The rules for the site exist for a reason, primarily because neither me or the sysops want to wade into anyone's drama or issue. So we handle it the same no matter what the specific details are.

It has created issues in the past where players were uncomfortable with what another player posted about their character and to be completely honest its not really wrong for someone to ask you "Hey can you remove that reference to my character I'm not comfortable with it?". It's a boundary issue and some people aren't comfortable with others crossing that boundary. This is a sandbox and for it to work well we have to respect other people's boundaries even if we don't always agree.

It's not censorship, its asking people to respect others and treat them as they'd wish to be treated. I'm sure if the situation was reversed and one of the two people called out by the player had posted something about the character being a rip off on their own pages the person I cited would be asking them to remove it or approaching a sysop for help. Would it be okay then for them to justify it as an IC opinion to trash someone?

You have to look at the situation from all sides, including if it was reversed. The policy exists for that purpose. It's all about avoiding drama mongering. - Ransim 13:28, 13 June 2012 (CDT)

I have removed the thread from Zombie's talk page as it was unrelated to the issue and its resolution which was between me and zombie. Should you wish to continue the argument feel free to email me, ransim AT gmail or you can raise the issue on the forums as that is a more appropriate place to have this discussion. - Ransim 21:31, 7 November 2012 (CST)
