History

Growing up as a child, Lazarus Dives idolized the professional wrestlers on the big screen. Everyone from Hulk Hogan to Sting to Ric Flair, he wanted to be just like them when he grew up. Okay, maybe without the spandex diaper on Flair's part. It was his dream to be up there with the best of them, on the big screen, talking on the mic, breaking tables with the best of the best.

Unfortunately, genetics didn't play into his favor. He was tall and fairly strong, but he was never very athletic. He could never manage to make the cut. Disappointed, he gave up on it and continued on with his life, abandoning his dream.

Heel

While going about his normal routine one day, Lazarus stumbled across an old man being hassled by teenagers with hockey sticks. He chased the kids off and thankfully found the old man unharmed. Thankful, the man offered him "anything he wanted" in return. Starting to walk away, Laz commented that the man couldn't give him the ability to become a professional wrestler. Stopping him with a hand on his shoulder, the old man held up a black wrestling mask with long pink hair attached. He told of the mask's ability to give the wearer increased physical strength and stamina. Excited, Laz gladly accepted the mask, seeing the opportunity as too good to be true. Too good to be true remains too good to be true.

Powers Granted by Heel

Demonic Strength - Upon wearing the mask for the very first time, Lazarus discovered rapidly increasing strength. His strength now, while far from as impressive as that as that of mutants or incarnates who achieved their strength by birthright, is above that of a normal human, especially for his size. He still must strain to get a whole lot done, but he's much stronger than his build implies.

Infernal Stone - While the stone may not be blazing nor even warm to the touch, the several slabs of rock Laz covers himself with and carries around are demonic in nature. While it hasn't yet been measured, it's been surmised, at least by Laz, that the collection of rocks weighs two tons. He requires a lot of his enhanced strength to keep from getting crushed by them, much less carry them. They are a solid protection, but restrict movement and slow him down with the sheer weight.

"Devil" Stepping - Making up for the inability to move, the demon granted the ability to move as some demons do, using somewhat of a teleport to cover ground quickly. It's a mystery what happens between point A and point B, but it's certain that limitations include distance and line of sight. He can't move to anywhere he can't see and he can't move miles and miles away in one step.

Personality

Lazarus

Lazarus is a self-proclaimed D-Bag. He's rude, outright mean, and a complete jerk on purpose to nearly anyone and everyone, insulting and berating anything he can think to about them within reason. As such, he's generally not only unphased, but disgusted at the attempts of others to be rude. Most of the time, his insults are heartfelt, but from time to time he says something just to anger or mess with somebody, be it true ot not. He speaks calmly at nearly all times, never putting any emotion into his voice.

Heel

Two-faced, excitable, and violent. Heel can be a pleasant person to talk to. If you're providing him with sustenance. During combat, he shouts various things that you may expect to hear of a professional wrestler, including that he will "crush every bone in your body and leave you in a broken, lifeless pile." A microphone clipped to his belt at all times, he pulls it off when he's trash talking person to person and speaks into it despite the fact that it isn't connected to anything. If you give him what he wants, he can be pleasant and quite a nice person. But otherwise, he'll likely be vile and rude.

Laz's Good Side

Crayon drawing of Kenny made while fighting Hanabi the Xiti.
Advent Ace - Kenny is the craziest and often the dumbest person Laz has ever known. But he's a competent (kind of) fighter and a loyal and good friend. Kenny is one of Laz's two best friends and will always have backup so long as there's breath in the Vertebreaker's body.

Angelpyre - She cut through his emotional defenses and saw through somehow to the person he is. This pissed Laz off to no end. He went and yelled at Brad for a little bit. Brad and Kenny told him to go for it. He tried to push her away and wound up dating her. So far, she seems to be a wonderful person despite what she says.

Garret Prince - Ballsy enough to actually fight and with the mental capacity to throw out a good insult from time to time. If nothing else, he's got Laz's respect.

Project Toxin - Doesn't really know Jude all that well. But Jude is alright. Kind of a pussbag, but when he gets serious he gets serious.

Pyroworks - "Cockblast" Brad didn't pay him and had no intention of paying him for the first job. But he wound up being okay. Easy to push around and generous with his own things, Laz only truly respects Brad for what he's seen of him in times of anger and trouble. Brad is the second of Laz's two best friends.

Runo - He's annoying as Hell. But he's resilient and kind of amusing. Runo is... begrudgingly admitted, alright.

Turner - An alright guy. He doesn't move a whole lot and is always leaning on something, but he's a good fighter and okay conversation.

Laz's Bad Side

Brad's car - It doesn't matter what Brad even said to earn his car a fierce painting, but that car is always in trouble. Absolutely always.

Giga Gal - Not enough hate to truly consider her an enemy. Laz isn't fond of her though.

Grand Inquisitor - He was two-faced. He hurt Brad. The fat guy's earned the ire Laz feels for him.

King Dominion - ...Defeated Laz in combat... Managed to actually take him down. He was underestimated, but never again. His stupid yellow head will look nice beside the Vertebreaker's throne.

Survivors of Vega - Most of them have been mean to Laz when he was actually trying to be nice. Especially Queen Xena. He'd love to break them, but probably couldn't beat a good bit of them. Besides, he wouldn't get paid for it. At least one of them has been nice to him, so he's leaving it be for the time being. But hate.

Veedo Yogen - Not really a friend, not really an enemy. He's an annoying kid. Though the did steal Kenny's apples. He's alright on occasion.
