She was named after the Amazonian warrior, who fought alongside the Trojans in order to face her enemy Achilles.
Like many college student she was hurting for cash. She saw an ad for drug testing, and figured it was worth a shot. She tried a various mixture of drugs for about six months, and then she got hit by a bus, and became paralyzed from the waist down. While in recovery, she was approched by a Crey scientist about a proceedure he was working on, that would give her the use of her legs again. After the proceedure was done, she found she could walk again, but also, she would transform at times into a bipedial cat. Part of the expiriment that cured her, involved adding DNA from a lynx to her own.
