Personality
Aselus' can come off as a bit airheaded at times, though some might describe her as a bit bitchy. It really depends on who she's dealing with(A side-effect of her mind-reading abilities).
Tools
Aselus came into possession of her magical trinkets while she was a member of the Circle of Thorns. She was allowed to keep them after turning on the Cultists because they were all defective in some way or another. Here are the items and their abilities:
- Jade Bracers of Handannahaf(Minor damage): These bracers were carved from jade by a slightly mad wizard that made his home in the middle of the Sahara Desert. These bracers can lower temperatures greatly, but that's all they can do.
- Windwalking Greaves(Destroyed): These are probably the most useful items that Aselus owns. They increase her jumping ability, grant flight, and even increase her constitution a little. However, they force the wearer to move slower.
- Runed Vambraces(Heavily damaged): These are a pair of runed vambraces that Aselus usually wears under her robes. They allow the wearer greatly increased strength, but damage their memory.
History
Aselus is actually the result of the breeding between the ancient Mu and an unknown, shape-shifting Alien race. Because of her Mu heritage, she became a target for the Circle of Thorns.
After living in the sunken city of Oranbega for several thousand years, she came across her spirit in the Library of Souls. Because of her Alien heritage, her spirit was able to escape from it's prison and trade places with the Mage occupying her body.
She fought her way to the surface, and was greeted with a severe beating and rape by a gang of Hellions, who left her with her artifacts for an unknown reason. A good samaritan brought her to the hospital in Atlas Park and even paid for her medical bills. Once the X-Rays showed the thorn in Aselus' heart, she was sent to MAGI Headquarters in the City Hall where Azuria herself performed a ritual that almost killed both Aselus and herself, but freed Aselus of the Spirit Thorn.
She now fights for the forces of good with the Supergroup known as HEROES(Heroic Entities Rising Over Evil Supers) and is an unofficial honorary member of the Legacy Chain. More recently, she has noticed that she seems to "hear" other people's thoughts, and instinctively defends her thoughts from people who try to read her mind, usually by counter-reading, which results in a massive psychic burst and usually a migraine for both parties.
In a recent classified mission, most of her equipment was either damaged or destroyed. She is trying her best to work up the funds to repair the damaged bits.
Weaknesses
Aselus has the usual Human weaknesses to firearms, high temperatures, low temperatures, blades, blunt trauma, etc. If she gets irritated enough, she will slip into a rather brutal berserker-like state where she fights purely on instinct. She has difficulty handling teleportation or portal travel.
Trivia
- Aselus is a fan of the video game series "Final Fantasy" and named her civilian self after her favorite character (Terra Branford of Final Fantasy 6). She even has a costume based on that character.
- Aselus isn't particularly fond of tight clothes and tends to avoid wearing them as much as possible.
- Aselus means "Light From a Frozen Heart" in the native tongue of her Alien ancestors.
- Aselus prefers to fight against large groups of enemies, using snowstorms, sub-zero temperatures, and the ground itself to assault her enemies.
