Beatrice Simmons is the result of experimentation upon her pregnant mother by Dr. Vahzilok. The evil doctor’s horrid minions caused the family to crash in their automobile, made certain the father was dead, and brought the pregnant mother to him. 3 months of experimentation and torment followed until the 4th of July, 2004, when Gloria Simmons gave birth to her baby girl, dying in the process. At the moment of birth, a Longbow detachment under Colonel Thomas Jackson “One-Eyed Jack” Caldwell stormed the laboratory, destroying it and foiling the Dr.’s plans, though he himself escaped. Jackson took the baby and turned her over to Professor Sophia Mellorio, one of the Top 10 minds in Paragon, a colleague of Jonathan St. John-Smythe and Steven Sheridan. This woman raised the child as if she were her own, and developed her powers, ensuring that her ability did not outstrip her knowledge, making her a danger. It is mostly due to the professor’s tireless teaching that Baby is an asset to the heroing community at such a tender age.
Baby Sister is well-known due to her young age (she started as a registered hero under Longbow auspices at age 5. In her year of active service, she has amassed quite an impressive amount of successes, with relatively few losses. Thus, she has been tapped to do a number of public service announcements, and has appeared at schools across Paragon (though she herself is personally tutored by the professor, in a wide variety of studies). When Night-Force was seeking to amass his Young Justiciars, despite her age, she was the first hero he tapped. The inevitable criticism rarely lasts beyond the first demonstration of her abilities and professionalism when it comes to doing the job.
Her blonde pigtails and pink dress have struck terror into unsuspecting villains for the past year now. She wears a Barbie backpack, full of all kinds of random stuff. Baby is considered a Class 5 Metahuman, with nearly unlimited upper potential. She is, at 6, strong enough to lift a super tanker, and has been seen to take 3 ton rocks to the face with little more than a blink.in addition to her strength and durability, Bea can unleash waves of bio-energy at unpredictable intervals (never by accident, however), and is also capable of teleportation, both of herself and others. It’s not an ability per se, but Bea is remarkably cute, and only the most hardened child-hater can resist her charm entirely. Also, she is highly intelligent, able to comprehend Physics, architecture, and engineering, well enough to make sure that her strength does not pose more danger than asset to her surroundings and those around her.
