Personality / History
Born in russia in 1929 near a small fishing village he quickly grew up learning that strength was the only way to survive. Upon reaching manhood he quickly dominated his home village and trasnformed it into a base of operations for his small raiding army/opium farm.
Using his quickly gained resources from his opium trade he equipped his small army and began to dominate nearby villages and towns. Those that didnt submit were destroyed.
Hearing of an ancient monestary in the nearby mountains he lead his army to its front gates and demanded them to teach him the powers they possessed. Denied entry by the mystics he promptly ordered his men to sack the place and kill all inside.
The mystics fought back but magick can only do so much against determined men, and they were outnumbered 40 to 1. Upon gleaning the great power contained within the tomes and scrolls found there he turned the monestary into his fortress from where he would one day conquer the world.
Finding a secretive chamber deep within the fortress he shattered the wards placed on it by the monks and took the amulet he found inside...The Fabled Eye of Ruladak, a legendary amulet said to contain almost limitless power. Claiming it as his own...he set out to dominate all he found.
He was however met with some resistance, it turned out this world had a mystic protector. The ancient Sorcerer Supreme known as Zyzygy Arkayn. For ages they fought...at times nearly bringing down reality around them and each time the baron was defeated. Now he seeks the destruction of his hated foe so his plans for world, and multi-dimensional domination can continue.
Equipment and Abilities
The Eye of Tyranny:This amulet was found by the baron in the monestary and he uses it to try and bring down his mystic rival Hekau. Possessing the might of its creators it can inflict grievous wounds thru the infamous red fires it commands.
Magick:Markhof's magic requires explanation....his ice is not truly ice..but shards of crystal that slash and imprison his foes. His fire is the fabled Flames of Fareen which can heal and enhance a being into unstoppable juggernaut.
Unbeknownst to the Baron, the amulet he bears contains a shard of Rularuu...each time the baron uses the amulet the entity gains a tiny more foothold over the baron's soul....and eventually the being will take over the baron's body and cast his soul to the astral wind.
