Pyromania is an intense obsession with fire, explosives, and their related effects. It is also an obsession with starting fires in an intentional fashion. An individual with pyromania is referred to as a pyromaniac or "pyro" for short. In colloquial English, the synonyms "firebug" and "firestarter" are sometimes used. Pyromaniacs are identified specifically as not having any other symptoms but obsession with fire causing their behavior. It is distinct from arson, and pyromaniacs are also distinct from those who start fires because of psychosis, for personal, monetary or political gain, or for acts of revenge. Pyromaniacs start fires to induce euphoria, and often tend to fixate on institutions of fire control like fire stations and firefighters. (Blaze rather avoids the latter however)
Little is known about this impulse control disorder, except some research suggesting there is an environmental component arising in late childhood.Few scientifically rigorous studies have been done on the subject, but psychosocial hypotheses suggest pyromania may be a form of communication from those with few social skills, or an ungratified sexuality for which setting fires is a symbolic solution. Medical research also suggests a possible link to reactive hypoglycemia or a decreased concentration of 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylglycol and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) in the cerebrospinal fluid. Some biological similarities have been discovered, such as abnormalities in the levels of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and serotonin, which could be related to problems of impulse control, and also low blood sugar levels. Children who are pyromaniacs often have a history of cruelty to animals. (allthough Blaze has never hurt an animal in her life,not counting along mister snuggles,her teddybear from when she was 5) They also frequently suffer from other behavior disorders and have learning disabilities and attention disorders.
Pyromaniacs are known to have feelings of sadness and loneliness, followed by rage, which leads to the setting of fires as an outlet. For a positive diagnosis, there must be purposeful setting of fire on at least two occasions. There is tension or arousal prior to the act, and gratification or relief when it is over. It is done for its own sake, and not for any other motivation. In some cases it is all about the pleasure of seeing what other people have to do to extinguish the fire, and the pyromaniac may enjoy reading of the effects of what they have done. Many sufferers claim that they just like to set fires for the sake of fires and the blaze of dancing flames. Many pyromaniacs feel a relief of stress in watching things burn or smolder, and the condition is fueled by the need to watch objects burn.
Temper
In psychology, temperament is the innate aspect of an individual's personality, such as introversion or extroversion. Temperament is defined as that part of the personality which is genetically based. Along with character, and those aspects acquired through learning, the two together are said to constitute personality. Most experts agree that temperament does have a genetic and biological basis, although environmental factors and maturation modify the ways a child's personality is expressed. Differences of temperament or behavior styles among each individual are important in family life. They affect the interactions among family members. While some children can adapt quickly and easily to family routines and get along with siblings, others who are more active or intense may have a difficult time adjusting. The interactions between these children and their parents and/or siblings are among a number of factors that can lead to stress and friction within the family life.
Cursed with a strong personality and a fiesty temper,Blaze has always found it difficult to communicate with others without causing an arguement of some sorts. Because of the fact she mainly got ignored by her mother,scolded by her father and looked down upon by her sister,this character trait has slowly evolved and led to random acts of violence to get her point across. On the other hand she is also an incredibly proud,strong willed person and will not bend down or go out of her way to please someone whom she believes does not deserve her sympathy.For those she cares about she is a fiercely loyal friend and companion,fearlessly putting herself in danger to protect them from harm. Her sharp tongue often gets her into alot of trouble allthough she never has backed out on any fight even once in her life (which often results in her getting 'disciplined') Unfortunatly the smallest happenings could trigger her anger,making her unpredictable and often unpleasant company. Whenever her temper flares up,so does the firey aura, which mostly starts at the top of her head/hair and quickly spreads out all over her body. (one of the reasons she has been aliased 'blazemane')
Blaze and Men
A complicated and delicate subject. While Blaze simply can't stand the prescence of other women closeby she favors the company of men due to the fact they are less easily offended by her violent outbursts and in her own words 'are less squishy and whiney'. On the other hand, getting involved in more intimate relationships rather than a friendly one will put her quite on edge,causing uncontrollable nervousness and spontanious combustions. Since no guy wants to take the risk of randomly getting set on fire,she has little to no experience when it comes to love. She angrily fends off any willing approach by men who want to get to know her better by blatant insults and other crude behaviour which would drive any sane person away in a desperate attempt of keeping herself from a broken heart. Deep down the tough exterior hides a lonely little girl,craving attention and loving intimacy.
Blaze and Women
Worst possible combination. It's not adviced to leave Blaze alone in one room with another woman,or worse,multiple women. First jealousy gets the best of her,second you got missy hot-head going on a murderous rampage. The reason for this most unfavorable behaviour could possibly be drawn back to the fact her older sister always got favored over herself by her mother,though there are obvious signs hinting out to the 'Alpha Male Syndrome',or her simply beeing quite dominant and demanding. Blaze therefore also refuses to join any mission team or villaingroup led by another female. Because of her somewhat violent personality charasteristics and little to no social skills, issues are mostly 'solved' with brute force rather than heated discussions (or flamewars as she prefers to call them) the latter not beeing a rare sight. She has also been denied access to the Pocket D Club due to beeing the cause of more than one Bar-Fight.

Her mother's attempt to drown her has permanently mentally damaged her. Shows extreme signs of social hostility to those of the same gender. Has developped a great fear of water (Aquaphobia). Could possibly be treated with a high chance of success,this is however not reccommended due to the individual's unpredictable,dangerous state of mind.
Trauma is often defined as a coping response to and a consequence of overwhelming situations. However, as an individual's sense of being "overwhelmed" is subjective, the occurrence of trauma is also subjective. There is evidence to suggest that how people cope with extremely stressful situations is associated to the amount of trauma suffered from such events.
During said individual's imprisonment,multiple tests have taken place to specificly calculate the percentage of stress endurance at the occurance of an event that could possibly trigger memories of a past trauma. (results included)
Test #1 : Sprinklers
Water Temperature: 36 degrees celcius 1:00 p.m - Test subject shows no signs of physical discomfort yet. Seems mildly displeased with the situation.
Water Temperature: 30 degrees celcius 1:15 p.m - Test subject shows minor signs of physical discomfort. Slight trembling. Restless pacing back and forth. Increasement in annoyance with the situation. Usage of some verbal abuse directed at me.
Water Temperature: 20 degrees celcius 1:30 p.m - Test subject appears to be at great physical discomfort. Trembling increased. Running around the cell. Seems unable to produce fire. I compair the current situation to that of a captured wild animal trying to escape a dangerous situation. Detecting hints of panic.
Water Temperature: 10 degrees celcius 1:45 p.m - Test subject appears to be in extreme physical discomfort (pain?). Trembling uncontrollably. Hyperventilation. After waiting another 5 minutes,test subject slips into what seems to be a minor shock. I think we have reached the limit here and asmuch as i would want to continue this experiment,the law forces me to put it on hold. (Side-Note: i personally could not care less about one less villain to worry about,but i think we have made excelent progress today)

Test #2 : Water Buckets
For these tests i have decided to call upon the assistance of doctor Theresa Bloomsworth whom has only recently graduated and mastered her degree in the Human Psyche. I am curious to how test subject #182837 (a.k.a 'Blazemane') will respond to this minor change. (will an additional scientist of the opposite gender have any influence on testing results?). I have thouroughly informed doctor Bloomsworth about said test subject's mental condition. Let's see how she will put her knowledge to the test. (side-note: must not forget to ask her phonenumber,perhaps she is free this saturday)
Ammount of Buckets: #1 - 5 liters
1:00 p.m - I have requested a different cell to messure the increasement in stress due to a change of enviorement. Test subject seems unresponsive to the new area and stubbornly sits in the farthest corner. Appears unwilling to cooperate. After minor negotiation doctor Bloomsworth has agreed into entering the cell carrying a 5 liter bucket. I have requested tranquilizer darts from the prison's security staff. I wonder what will happen next.
1:30 p.m - All tests have been permanently cancelled after doctor Bloomsworth had been hospitalized. I will most likely lose my function as Psychiatist,however this does not stop me from noting down my newest discovery. Test subject #182837 does not respond well to forcefully getting brought in contact with a larger,solid mass of water. (cancelling pyrotransmution?) It is recommended to avoid any direct contact with other female individuals. (side-note: must remember to visit theresa in the hospital. Must also purchase a new bucket)

Weaknesses
The most obvious weakness she has must be her never-ending and ever increasing fear of water. She is infact so terrified of it (which mainly origins from a past event which involved her mom nearly drowning her) that she might easily slip into a shock that disallows her to use any protective abilities like her flame shields when getting forced too close or even in any large body of water that reaches further than her ankles.
Also Commonly known as Aquaphobia:
Aquaphobia is the kind of specific phobia, an abnormal and persistent fear of water.It involves a level of fear that is beyond control or that may interfere with daily life.Specifically, people suffering from aquaphobia may experience anxiety even though they realize the water in an ocean, a river, a lake, a creek or even a bathtub may pose no imminent threat. They may avoid such activities as boating and swimming, or they may avoid swimming in the deep ocean despite having mastered basic swimming skills. This anxiety may also commonly extend to getting wet or splashed with water when it is unexpected, or being pushed or thrown into a body of water.
Another prominent limitation of her would be the atmospheric temperature. The colder it get's the less active she'll be and most probably won't venture outside at all if she can avoid it. The reason for this points out to the fact that she has to keep her body temperature at a fixed level to remain healthy,this number is naturally alot higher than with the average human beeing. Eventhough she can call forth flames from her body to keep her warm, 'extreme' colds (snow,ice) will disallow her from using any such abilities,placing herself in a serious vulnerable position. Therefore Ice magic user's are approached with caution if approached at all.
