Blood Wolf is a Batman-like hero, who uses natural talent and stealth to track down villains, or even other heroes who may be tempted to abuse their power. Although his character name on Virtue is "Blood Wolf", as two words, out of game and in writing the name is consistently spelled "Bloodwolf". A villain version of the character also exists on Virtue, with the name "Blood Wolf?", but this is considered to be the same person.

Affiliations
Identity: Private, true identity is presumed dead.
Supergroups: None (Known to associate with Urban Bushido, the United Sanction Society, and the Silent World Order)
Known Associates: None regularly. Bloodwolf seems to regard all superpowered individuals, even heroes, with some suspicion. Thus, although he has associated with heroes like The Widowed, Cryogentic, and President SK, he also seems to be keeping them under observation.
He has also let a small set of heroes and villains have access to his hideout. Whether he is recruiting these individuals for his own purposes, however, or trying to help them with their own various conflicts with "the system", is not entirely clear.
Personality
Bloodwolf tends to be very secretive and brooding, even becoming paranoid at times. He can seem brusque and humorless, although this may be an act, as he is often talkative and friendly when in one of his undercover guises.
Powers
Bloodwolf has no innate powers, other than his martial arts training, with an intensive knowledge of theiving skills and infiltration techniques. He appears to be quite gifted at tinkering, and can often improvise weapons on the spot. He has also broken into many of Paragon City's support systems, such as their medical teleporters, and can override them with various jammers. It is rumored that most of Bloodwolf's skills were learned from other criminals while he was in prison. (See Character History)
Martial Arts
Although Bloodwolf's techniques are crude and unprofessional, they are surprisingly effective. His skill is easily the equal of a black belt in karate, although he combines so many different styles with street fighting tactics that it is hard to pinpoint his style actually is, or who trained him. He appears to be self-trained, picking up techniques from his opponents as well as allies such as the heroes in Urban Bushido. He employs a number of pressure point techniques to stun or incapacitate his foes rather than kill them outright, and has been known to break bones in order to immobilize a foe. Because of his reputation for being ruthless in combat, most of the villain groups of Paragon City have come to fear entering combat with him, and he can often intimidate them with just a few words or a threatening look.
Stealth/Infiltration
Bloodwolf's combat skills are quite effective, but his true expertise is in the area of stealth and infiltration. He employs a number of lockpicks and jamming devices in his arsenal, and is able to overcome security systems with ease. He is also so skilled in moving stealthily that many adversaries have commented on his ability to slip past guards and appear where it was thought no one could go. Bloodwolf often leaves his mark, the face of a wolf drawn in blood, as a sign that he was able to infiltrate a location, and find the information he was looking for.
Gadgets/Weapons
As he has gained in levels and experience, he has moved some of his investigations to the Rogue Isles, where he is apparently trying to monitor Arachnos activities. Bloodwolf has taken to using gadgets to supplement his natural skills. Originally, Bloodwolf's only tool was a collapsible pole, which he used to vault to high ledges, or to cross gaps. More recently, however, he has taken to using flash powders and other chemicals, such as a stimulant he uses to speed his own healing. He has also begun using a jetpack apparently stolen from a manufacturer such as the Sky Raiders or Goldbrickers. He may quite possibly be using many ostensibly "confiscated" items.
Character History
Steve McDonald had a normal life until a corrupt Sheriff became attracted to his wife, Heather. When his attempt to kidnap and rape her went wrong, the Sheriff ended up killing Heather; he was able to use his contacts and power to frame Steve for the murder instead. Steve was sent to prison for three years, during which he waited for his chance to free himself and prove his innocence. Realizing that he'd been framed by the very system that was supposed to protect him, Steve turned to his fellow inmates to learn the skills he would need to go underground until he could find the evidence that would exonerate him.
His chance came when a prison riot broke out, and several prisoners were killed. In the chaos, he managed to slip out and confront the Sheriff who had framed him. While he found the evidence he was looking for, however, he was forced to kill the Sheriff in self defense during the ensuing fight. As he wiped the blood from his hands, a mark appeared on the wall -- the face of a wolf. In that moment, he realized that he could never be free, as he was now a murderer in his own right. He swore that he would devote his life to tracking down corruption, and stopping it, before it could ruin any more lives in the same way his own life was ruined.
Knowing that the most powerful are those who are most likely to be corrupted by that power, Bloodwolf came to Paragon City to keep watch on heroes and villains alike. Where he finds corruption, he leaves his mark behind, the face of the wolf, left in his own blood. The Mark of Bloodwolf is a reminder, that no one is above the law, and in the end, there is no escaping your final judgment.

Inspirations and Trivia
Bloodwolf was inspired in large part by Batman, but he also takes a lot of his backstory from a 1970s TV show called "The Sword of Justice". This show involved a character that was framed for a crime he didn't commit, and spent three years in prison before being released on parole. He then infiltrated the company that had framed him, and found the evidence that proved they were breaking the law, making sure the police would find it when they arrived to arrest the company head. In subsequent episodes, he repeated this process with other corrupt corporations, uncovering their wrongdoing, finding the evidence, and delivering them to the police, all while remaining out of sight and unknown to his victims.
The only evidence the main character left of his existance were playing cards, all with the number three to represent the three years he spent in jail. He would usually leave the Three of Clubs to start the episode, although the Three of Hearts or Diamonds might be left if the villain was driven by lust or greed. (Actually, the Three of Hearts would often be used to warn family members of the criminal of his true nature) Finally, when the police arrived to arrest the bad guy, they would always find the final card, the Three of Spades. On the back was written "The Spade is the Sword of Justice. It's rapier marks the end."
