Blue Pyro
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
The Paragon Times recently had a chance to sit down with world renown hero, Blue Pyro. Blue Pyro (who frequently goes by just Blue) has been around since before the Ritki Invasion.
PT: Can you tell our readers a little about yourself?
BP: I'd be happy to, what would you like to know?
PT: Well maybe you can tell us why you became a hero?
BP: Whew. That's a tough one. I guess I don't really know, I've kind of been a hero my whole life.
PT: Right. I understand you weren't here during the Ritki invasion, the first one I mean.
BP: No. I was off world helping a group of scientists rebuild a space station after it had been attacked by some unknown species. We later found out that it had been a Ritki scout ship.
PT: So you didn't know about the invasion.
BP: While I was helping to repair the space station I got a frantic call from Jacky...err Statesman about some sort of attack. I came as soon as I could but, by the time I arrived Paragon was in ruin. We lost a lot of good heroes then.
PT: Jacky? Did you know Statesman before his infamous heroes call to arms?
BP: Well, we weren't exactly buddies, but we helped each other out from time to time.
PT: What's Statesman like, I mean really?
BP: Before the invasion? or After?
PT: Both.
BP: Before the invasion, he was your average guy, well you know with super powers. I remember one time we were all watching the game (PT: ?), football game, I can't remember who was playing at that bar down in Overbrook...I don't remember the name. It closed a number of years ago. Anyway Jacky had a few too many to drink and before I knew it he was up on the bar singing, "I'm every woman".
PT: That must have been a sight.
BP: It was...and he was awful. Heh. That was always the thing with Jacky. Big tough guy always trying to do the right thing, but get a couple of pints in him and he was a happy go lucky kind of guy...sorry Jacky. Just watch out if he tries to pat you on the back...you might end up through a wall. Heheheh...but thats a story for another time. Anyway, Jacky changed a lot after the invasion. We lost so many heroes, so many good friends. It's like he just closed up. I haven't talked to him in years now.
PT: So you came back from the space station and everything was in ruin?
BP: Yeah.
PT: So what did you do then?
BP: The only thing I could, I helped those that couldn't help themselves. I put together a few small hero groups, nothing very large. I just wanted to help new heroes get out there. After a while I joined a larger group, the Peoples' Vanguard.
PT: We all have heard the stories about the Peoples' Vanguard, but we haven't seen you in a long time. What have you been up to?
BP: Mainly, I work on helping new heroes become established, helping them out financially when necessary.
PT: Any rising stars we should know about.
BP: Well, you probably already know. My star right now is a young girl that goes by Raven Quiver. She's a Dark Archer Defender.
PT: What does that mean exactly?
BP: Heh, I realize archetypes and their breakdowns can be a little confusing. She has an amazing ability to heal by pulling energy from her foes. She is also an amazing archer.
PT: Uhhh...that sounds a little gruesome. Are you sure she's a hero?
BP: Oh yes, definitely. I realize it sounds gruesome at first, but in the heat of battle its another matter.
PT: Well anyone else we should know about?
BP: Last year I mentored a good kid called Jet Putresce, an Earth Empath Controller. And before that I mentored a couple of good kids, Mock Dock a Kinetics Defender and Jade Spark an Illusion Controller. They are both currently helping to establish one of the off world colonies.
PT: Well I guess that about wraps it up. Thanks you for your time Blue.
BP: Thank You.
