Known Associates
Ava was a special case for Bonedancer due to a sense of finding a kindred spirit in her, not quite human, and not quite sure what else to be. With the help of Brendan Aft the three of them made a force to be reckoned with. Bonedancer often wonders if Ava is ok and if she ever found peace within herself...
Above all else, Bonedancer loved Brendan in a way only a child could. Brendan was in her mind the greatest hero of them all, and often sought to mimic him, including the "Brendan Aft Halo Drop Attack". It is his safety she worries for most of all. She keeps a small picture of the two of them with her at all times.
Admiral Otto Keppner, a visitor from a past in an alternate timeline, and the one who found bonedancer in the War Zone, and brought her back to health. They are from the same time and find a special friendship in this fact.
The gargoyle protector, a very interesting individual, and very mysterious. Grai only shows up when he is needed most...no one knows how he knows to do this...
John was never quite sure what to make of Bonedancer, and she knew it and took special joy in the fact that her existance confused him. He earned her respect in a daring raid against the redcaps where he singlehandedly fought off the gnomish hordes to rescue her when she fell in battle.
The enigmatic master of fire that aided the Hyperions in the initial fight agaist the Rikti, Light is the only one that followed Bonedancer into the War Zone the day she disappeared and continues to fight by her side with the Court of the Air.
The devil you can't help but love, Mikey taught Bonedancer foul language and how to properly devastate the enemy.
Bridget Queen, the adopted mother of Bonedancer and her sister, Trickshot was a huge influence on Bonedancer, and a great help in aiding her to achieve her ultimate goal and become human.
Zartemis was one of those people your mother warned you about, one of the worst influences on young Bonedancer, he often got her into mischief and trouble.
Enemies
One of the Mournlanders from the Rogue Isles, there is an everlasting hatred between the two of them. Bonedancer is the only one that knows that Joe was the one who infiltrated the Hyperion Force and got the personel files that led to the Rikti finding out about Bonedancer, and leading to her having to leave the people she cared about most.
BAD DOLLIES!!!
Character History
Simple Times Gone Wrong
Born to a young miller and his wife in Croatoa in 1853, Brigit was a normal girl and very close with her younger sister Christa. As the Civil War came to a close, a party of soldiers raided her parents mill. Her father grabbed his musket and told the girls to run and hide. The two girls hurried to the basement to hide, and huddled in a corner clutching their toy dolls in fear. The soldiers stormed into the house in a rain of gunfire and foul language. Amidst the chaos and dying screams of their parents, a fire broke out and quickly engulfed the structure, and both girls perished in the flames. Their bodies lay there for over a hundred years, clutching the charred ragdolls ,and as the essence of Croatoa seeped into them, their spirits became entwined within the structure of the dolls they died clutching, animating them.
Out of the Darkness
Brigit, slightly less timid stumbled out of the ruined mill, confused and unable to fully remember what had happened. She made her way to a nearby cemetery with her sister in tow, and as Christa played absently in the rubble atop one of the graves, Brigit scaled one of the taller grave markers, only to be struck by lightning and knocked to the ground. Both girls looked at one another stunned for a moment, and then broke out in hysteric giggles, not really aware of what had transpired. It was at this point that Neo Trickshot overheard an uncommon sound in those now dark and mysterious lands, laughter. Being the hero that she is, she rushed to investigate expecting to rescue children from the dangers of the Fir Bolg, or stop the sinister Cabal from some horrid plan...instead she was greeted by two pair of glassy, black doll eyes peeping over a tombstone at her with curious wonder. There was a moment of silent tension, and then a little voice piped up in excited curiosity, "Who are you?!". Trickshot found herself overwhelmed by two small dolls poking and prodding her, asking a million questions a second. She turned right and left, her mind working at light speed, assessing the threat, forming a strategy, planning her next move, scanning the terrain for tactical advantages...and then face palmed, laughing to herself, her next words would begin a journey unlike no other, and a relationship that could only have been plotted out by fate itself..."Are you lost little ones?".
A New Home
Trickshot brought the pair home and presented them to John Flag, two little figures hiding in a small cloud in the middle of the room peeking at the red, white, and blue clad hero and then ducking behind the cloud giggling wildly. John, at a loss, stumbled to find what to say, and in the end, looked at Trickshot saying, "They're your responsibility..." and walked off shaking his head. The next few years were happy times, as the girls began to learn and gain awareness, earning the respect of their peers as allies, and worming their way into the hearts of their friends, now considered family. Only one thing was missing...as Bonedancer discovered more and more of her past, she yearned more and more to become a real, living girl, for a family and the ability to be like the rest of the people around her that she secretly envied. Her sister and her were constantly reminded of their origin by the critical and sometimes harsh words of Paralaxis, who was harshly prejudiced against anything not human. Bonedancer took this in stride, and used this as motivation to figure out a way to fulfill her dream...Chritsa (A.K.A. The Crimson Ragdoll) however took it to heart, and the seed of anger began to grow within her, slowly twisting into hatred towards humanity for treating her as different, even though she risked her own safety every day to keep them safe. Her anger began to manifest as a reckless rage in battle, worrying her only real friend aside from her sister, the jungle warrior, Abha.
A Sister Falls
Christa began making secret excursions into the Rogue Isles, where her naive mind was manipulated by a family of assassins from Japan, the Locke clan, and she was turned against her friends, hellbent on the destruction of mankind. Her one chance for redemption was thwarted by Lord Oni Kami Locke's concubine, who convinced Crimson that the only way to save the one human she cared about, Abha, was to kill her in order to spare her the torment of seeing the rest of humanity destroyed around her. Crimson tricked Abha into a hidden place, an old run down office building, and attacked her with tears in her eyes. Abha, shocked and bewildered by this, stood against the brunt of Crimson's attacks as long as she could, her body buffeted by the powers of darkness again and again, until she had no choice but defend herself or die. She defeated Crimson with a broken heart, and she shrugged off her mortal coil in Abha's arms. Abha retaliated against the Locke concubine...and her justice was swift and merciless... Upon finding her sister's remains where Abha had left them, Brigit learned a new emotion, despair, her poor spirit nearly broken by the loss of her only remaining tie to her previous life. This and the kidnaping of Gunner Locke sparked off a small scale war between the Hyperions and the Locke clan, ending in the capture and exile of the demon, Lord Oni Kami Locke.
Sadness and Triumph
Despair settled into Brigit's heart, and she became withdrawn and immersed herself in her research, determined to become human, as if to prove to herself that Christa's death was not in vain. It was during this time that she, Trickshot, Light Avenger, Bendan Aft, Ava Adore, and Mikey Mayhem began making excursions into Praetoria, where Brigit discovered Kheldians. Following the official adoption of Brigit by Trickshot, Brigit stumbled onto a brilliant discovery. She studied the alien race for some time, and discovered that there were disembodied remains of Kheldians all throughout the Aether, and through and ancient rite, she discovered how to knit them together into the semblance of a soul, making her physical form unstable and mutable, but granting her the life she had sought for so long. This discovery however, would be her undoing. The Rikti were sold this information by a villain known as Joe Toxic, ringleader of the Mournalanders from the Rogue Isles. The Rikti wanted knowledge of Brigit's accomplishment for their own fell purposes, and immediately began seeking her out for capture and study. Fearing for the lives and safety of her friends and family, Brigit departed the Hyperion Force in secret to battle the Rikti threat on her own.
War and Peace
Brigit fought long and hard against the invasions of the aliens forms known as the Rikti. Over time she learned that there were numerous reasons for their second invasion, and she took some small measure of peace from this having thought for so long that it was her fault. She was recruited and quickly moved up the ranks of the Vanguard, leading a small elite team of super powered commandos, The Court of the Air along with Otto Keppner in the struggle. Many lessons were learned during this time, the lost lives and the energy burn scars took their toll. As the fighting finally wound down and this became more controlled, all Brigit found she could think about was home. She left and returned to Paragon City.
Homecoming
Things had changed drastically back in Paragon, and though she yearned to jump back in where she had left off, too much had changed. The Hyperion Force was under new management, John Flagg was MIA, Trick Shot was married and no one seemed to notice the little feet of a living doll echoing in the corridors of the largely expanded Hyperion Force base. Confused and agitated by this, Brigit left and blindly wandered through the world for years. Time has little effect on the timeless, and she took little notice of it passing.
Seed
When Brigit finally snapped out of it, she found herself standing amidst the rubble of Mercy Island, alone, dirty, and tired she cried out with a burst of rage and clap of thunder, "ENOUGH!". The Ragdoll Bonedancer began to lash out, furious as the storms she controlled at the criminal elements and heroes alike. She was through being a ragdoll of comfort, it was time for revenge...revenge for being put through so much when all she ever wanted was the simple life of a normal girl.
Personality
Generally a very happy person, Bonedancer has become a much more serious person due to the events that have occured in her life, the death of her sister, and the loss of her family with the Hyperion Force.
