This page is about a retired character.
Born June 6, 1961 to an Irish family in New Orleans, LA Jim grew up relatively happy, despite his family's sorry financial situation. Jim's father, Sean, was always working at least two jobs, and most times three, to support his family. His mother Kathrine was a stay at home mom who took care of him and his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Yes, Jim comes from a big family. They lived in the hard part of town and Jim and his brothers learned fast to get tough or get hurt. They often got into fights, and it was this fact that made Jim beg his parents to let him take karate lessons. Jim's father was all for the idea, but he knew the family could not afford it. Jim offered to take on odd jobs after school to pay for these lessons on his own, and his parents agreed. (( to be continued ))
James McIntyre joined the US Army at age 18, fresh out of high school, and has honorably served his country for the past 30 years. BCT, Basic Combat Training, had been in Fort Benning, GA and DS Woods had been a real hard ass, but he trained his soldiers well. Jim was one such soldier. He went on to Fort Bragg, NC for AIT and decided to make a career out of the Army. After that, he was stationed mainly at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. Jim served tours of duty in Iraq in 1991 and 1998. His heroism and bravery garnered him promotion after promotion, ending with his retirement at the rank of captain.

I'm not too well educated in the military, or their awards. If there are errors in this page about awards, conflicts, or anything else related to the US military, I apologize whole-heartedly. I do not intend to make light of our soldiers serving this great country.
