Overview
In a city where rogue mages and wizards roam the streets, where cybernetic freaks seek mystic enchantments for their technology, we are the force of balance. It is our duty to combat this abuse of magical power. From the lowest Hellion to the highest Council Arbiter, anyone who seeks to wield these powers is under our jurisdiction. Should they threaten to upset this world, we will see to it that it does not stand.
We are the Magus Arcana.
Our Mission Statement
The Magus Arcana's Mission Statement:
In the understanding that magic is one of the greatest, and easiest to abuse, sources of power in the world, we have come together to form an organization based on the following concepts:
First and foremost, to serve as a check against the corrupt misuse of magic, especially where it is used as a dominating or destructive power;
Second, to apprehend those involved in the corrupt misuse of magic, or if deemed necessary, to remove their lives;
Third, to take a proactive approach in locating potential corrupt misuses of magic;
Fourth, to further our own knowledge of magic and to aid those who wish to further their knowledge of magic, but only for constructive purposes;
Fifth, to step forward in our individual roles as Heroes, and not forsake situations where a power other than magic is being abused.
Though many of our members are licensed Heroes in various locations, most notably Paragon City, the Magus Arcana operate out of no country, and hold ourselves under no jurisdiction save that of our leaders, and our own morality, in situation pertaining to our group's activities.
Joining Us
For those who recognize our battle and the importance it holds, and who wish to join us in our fight, there are no requirements to joining save for willingness to fight alongside us and be directed by our leaders. Please note that we will withhold membership to people we do not feel would be a proper fit for the Magus Arcana, who are not aligned with our morality, or who we just plain don't like. For those interested, contact Corrigan Easton or Twilight Harvest, either by communication radios or by a letter or bulletin.

[[About the Magus Arcana:
We're a heavy-roleplaying guild on the Virtue server of City of Heroes. I do very much mean the "heavy-roleplaying" part - in the base, in the field, in missions, in the D, we will be in-character and having fun. We do allow OOC communications so long as you use some means of denoting it (In my case, I use double-brackets), but for the most part, communication should be in-character.
There are no archetype, level, or origin restrictions on joining us. You'll be expected to talk for a while with one of our leaders, both to test your RP abilities and your backstory. Don't fret if you're not a very good RPer - we'll be happy to invite you along, and help you get better at it! I'm shooting for at least once-a-month RP events for the Magus. These could take many forms, such as parties, nights on the town or in the D, missions or task forces. The exact details of each will be polled in advance.
We're hoping for fun and active people who understand a bit about sharing the spotlight and making for fun RP storylines. I, personally, vastly prefer in-game RPing to forum RPs, though there won't be any restrictions on the latter. If there's any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! Yours, Corrigan Easton.]]
