A human girl that entered a covenant with a fallen angel. |
Power Origin
Phoebe Spinner was lying in bed one night, listening to her favorite Lorde album when a heavily weakened angel named Searahel sought refuge within her body. It was being chased by a nasty and powerful demon and on the brink of being devoured when the girl allowed it to utilize her body in fighting the vile creature. After defeating it, the angel entered a covenant with Phoebe as a reward for her selfless act, permanently embedding what remained of its divine essence within her. Now Phoebe can tap into this celestial energy to enter her "Radiant Form", in which her hair turns white, she gets covered by a strange, featureless second skin and she can control the weather to a limited degree. She can't however keep up this form forever and eventually has to "recharge" by resting. An unfortunate side effect of this is, that whenever she enters or exits this state, all clothing she wears or objects she holds are completely disintegrated. Interestingly enough, this does not apply to living organisms. Using these newfound powers, she dropped out of high school, deciding not to finish senior year to instead pursue the path of becoming a hero, having originally registered under the name of the angel that visited her that fateful night and now, unbeknownst to her, was part of herself, though later renamed herself to Celesti-Girl. Researching the name Searahel thoroughly will reveal, that this angel of justice was in fact a fallen one, banished from the heavens for dabbling in forbidden, dark arts.
The Story So Far...
Phoebe's father left her mother while she was pregnant, leaving her to raise Phoebe on her own with some assistance from the girl's grandmother. Phoebe's childhood and teenage years were rather unremarkable. She was decently popular in school, went through a bit of an edgy phase and had her first boyfriend with 16. Her grades were pretty average so all in all, her life was on the way of being incredibly monotonous. She always had a fascination for music and at one point, wanted to become a singer herself, though this dream was swiftly crushed by her music teacher telling her that she, despite all her enthusiasm, simply didn't have any talent. Instead she focused on gymnastics for which she had much more of an affinity thanks to her natural flexibility. Before turning into a super hero, she spent her days with attending school, listening to music, hanging out with her friends or chatting with them online, watching an unhealthy amount of anime and read an equally worrying amount of manga as well as occasionally playing games on her Nintendo consoles or PlayStation 4.
Since she started working as a hero, she rented out her own apartment in Atlas Park. A few months after first registering she met one of her favorite heroes, a man she idolized since her childhood. She spotted the famous and well established hero Omni-Man in the Pocket D one night and nervously approached him to ask for a picture. She never expected that her insane fan girl ramblings would lead to him offering to go on patrol with her. One thing lead to the other and the two of them became a couple, trying to keep their relationship somewhat under wraps, given that he was more than a decade older than her, which surely would lead to some controversy, should the media pick up on this. Especially, since she also started working as his sidekick.
