Mongoose was created because I wanted to play a 'sniper' character. His build is rather unconventional (or at least it will be, I think) in that I'm focusing on range and being able to fire his snipe as often as possible. He's meant to be a stealthy and shadowy character that sits back and drop enemies long before they reach him. His name comes from two sources. One is the novel The Sonambulist in which The Mongoose is a feared hired killer. The second source is 'Solid Snake', a character from whom I drew inspiration. Rather than choose a name with the word snake in it, I went with something that actually hunts and kills snakes, the mongoose. AR/ has proven very fun so far so I think I'll be able to stick with this character for a while. His name in-game is Codename Mongoose, without the colon.

Introduction
This report has been compiled from a wide variety of sources such as CIA debriefings, NSA intelligence, witness reports and a plethora of other means. It consists of the most complete information available about the individual known only as Codename: Mongoose. Mongoose is believed to be a U.S. citizen but who or what he works for remains a complete mystery. Only vague hints and ambiguous clues exist, leaving us only to speculate about his true nature. Mongoose's age is undetermined, but the earliest reported sighting of him was on November 22nd, 1963 in Dallas Texas. Since then, he has popped up across the globe in a wide variety of high-profile incidents and conflicts. Most of what we know about Codename: Mongoose boils down to this: he is a cold-blooded, highly trained and unpredictable killer and commando with possible super-human abilities. There are few men in the world more dangerous than he because he seems to operate with carte blanche anywhere in the world, disappearing from sight after striking, only to resurface again without warning some time later. It is my sincerest hope that the information within this report will shed some much needed light on Codename: Mongoose and perhaps contribute in someway towards his eventual capture and the unraveling of the puzzle behind his identity.

Editor's Note: Director Ashcroft died of a fatal heart attack in his office in December of 2004. Federal investigators concluded he died of natural causes. Others are less sure.
