Detailed Explanation: Michael Cardigan can act as a "thermal sponge", transferring the heat out of a very localized area into himself. The simplest application of this is in rapid crystallization and the creation of ice, but he can also apply the absorbed energy in a variety of other ways. He has devised a method of propulsion through expending this stored energy as well as being able to wreathe himself in the thermal energy.

Additional Notes: Michael received only very brief military training after leaving school. However, the circumstances of his discharge left him with a number of amicable contacts within the armed forces. These contacts have helped him a number of times, to the inclusion of teaching him how a missile guidance system functions so he could better control his Flight.
He has been out of the "hero scene" for several years, only resurfacing within the last year.
