I cant believe we've been fighting this latest invasion for almost 5 years now. So much of the world has changed. The sky is always that damned shade of green and purple. It makes me sick just looking ad it. Thank heaven im getting some off time this weekend.

Captain Virgi called me in from some much needed R&R. Seems like the entire Pauldron devision is in a fuss. Something tells me the guys from Sword dropped the ball again. Their intell lately has been as usefull as a bent Redding rifle.

Gaussian briefed us personally. Whatever the Rikti are up to this time is different. He's placed all us combat Psykers on full alert. They observed large equipment transports in Europe, Asia and Australia. And apparently another one is on the way here to Paragon. Pauldron and Sword devisions are to coordinate a full scale attack and capture whatever their transporting.

Goddamnit, intell really humped the bunk this time. The transport is way more heavily defended then anticipated. Squads 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, and 15 are all gone. They got us boxed in and they know it. I've managed to shield our platoon from their mind probes so far, but even I need to sleep sometime.
10-08-2041 suplemental.
We got lucky, sometimes it's good to have so many heroes in a single city. Even if there arent that many left now. Members of the Techno Sorcerers Legion sprung a surprise attack on the Rikti that had us pinned. We took severe losses in the fight though. Dietrich, Ramsel, David , Rick and Cortanna are all dead. I'm the only Combat Psyker left. We pulled back to vanguard HQ.

I'm not afraid to admit that right now im so terrified I just want to scream and hide under a rock somewere. The equipment the Rikti transported are some sort of Psyco-viral bombs. Intel suggest that one of these is enough to mutate a single continent of people into Rikti. So far half a dozen of them have been spotted around the world. And if this data is accurate, they are minutes away from deploying them.
11-08-2041 supplemental.
They detonated the devices. The entire west coast is contaminated. Endless numbers of Rikti/human mutants are advancing on our position. It's the end of everything.
Lady grey and Dark Watcher came to fetch me personally. Something about a Project Tempest. I don't understand any of the details but it has something to do with a temperal quantum shift. They refer to it as, the last hope for humanity.

personal Log lieutenant O'Reilly, I feel disoriented and nauseous. I have no idea were, or more importantly, WHEN I am. It looks like somewere in Perez Park. Did the quantum shift work. for some reason my mental abillities are not working.

I did an equipment check. Neo-imperium armor and modulair redding rifle and carbine are in perfect working order. I have plenty of ammo, and i can feel my mental powers slowly returning.

It worked. The quantum shift worked. The local newspaper and some gentle mind probing confirmed it. I am in the past. The second war is still going. I must link up with Vanguard immediately.
Personal History
Colleen O'Reilly, Daughter of Miles and Monica O'Reilly was born in Dublin Ireland in the year 2018. The youngest of three, with two older brothers. James and Adam. She grew up as a bright athletic child. When she hit puberty she began to develop telepathic as well as telekinetic abillities. She aparently inherited these from her mother whom, records confirm, was a known telepath in the Dublin area. Over time, and with the loving tutelage of her mother, she learned to harness and control her powers in a productive way.
The rest of her childhood was largely uneventfull. She finished school with high average grades, and went off to college. It was during her second year that the third Rikti war began in 2036. O´Reily, whom had just turned eighteen, was drafted into Vangaurds new Pauldron devision. An all psychic unit created to combat this latest Rikti threat.
Despite the hardships of war she tried to keep an optimistic view of things. always hoping for the best, no matter how grim things looked. However, three years into the war she received the terrible news that both her brothers and father had been killed in action against the Rikti back in Ireland. The optimistic young woman inside her died that day.
Personality
Five long years of constant fighting have hardened the once cheerfull young woman considerably. These days she is every bit the professional soldier. Tough, direct and about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. She follows orders without question and has a zero tolerance policy towards crime. Dealing with any criminals, wether they be super powered villains or petty purse snatchers, quickly and brutally.
Powers and Abilities
Combat Psyker
lieutenant O'reilly is a level-3 Telepath. She can project fields of telekinetic force to violently propel objects away from her. She can also Directly attack an opponents synaptic functions and disrupt their movement, unleash their deepest phobia or project terrifying images directly into their minds. Such feats are taxing however. Despite her military training.
Weapon Expert
She is highly trained in guerilla and urban warfare. She is an assault specialist trained for dynamic combat and rapid redeployment. She is proficient with all of Vanguards weapons, in addition to common firearms.
Pauldron Devision
After the second Rikti war ended, Vanguard exanded their organisation with a new devision. This devision was named the Pauldron. It consists of a small number of specially trained soldiers. all of whom are telepaths. They receive special millitairy conditioning as well as commando training, to make them experts at combating Rikti. Moreso then even the other divisions troops. Commonly referred to as Combat Psykers, they are armed and armoured with the best weapons and technoligy Vanguard has to offer. In addition to their deadly psychic powers.
Pauldron Devision Equipment
Neo-Impervium Armor
All combat Psykers are given Neo-Impervium armour. Impervium is the strongest known metal in the world. Neo-Impervium has a complex matrix of psycho-reactive fibres woven into the structure to serve as an amplifier for a persons natural psychic talent. in essence it boosts the power of any psychic power to a level strong enough to overcome even a Rikti mind.
Modulair Redding Rifle/Carbine
Secondly all Combat Psykers are given either a Modulair Redding Rifle or Redding Carbine. These weapons can fire a large variety of munitions. And even have a build in flamethrower and grenade launcher. Not only does this eliminate the need to hoist around additional equipment. it also ensures that no matter the situation, troopers have the right weapon for the job ad their disposal.
Psy-Canon Ammo
All of the pauldron Devisions weapons are loaded with a special ammunition refered to as Psy-Canon ammo or psyker bullets. These special rounds are psychicly impregnated ( for lack of a better term ) with destructive energies. Making them effective against both living and inanimate targets. in addition to the phycical damage they do, they also deliver a psychic shockwave to the targets nervous system. Effectively frying their synaptic pathways.
Psycho Grenades
Like Psy-Canon ammo, the psycho grenade is psychically charged and in addition to its explosive content, delivers a psychic shockwave upon detonation. Whatever isn't killed outright by the blast will have its synapses fried by the mental backlash.
