Biographical Information
Birth And Childhood
Jack Donovan Keller was born in Leeds, England in 1924. His father, soon after Jack's birth, received a promotion as a factory manager in London. Jack at only a few weeks old was moved with his family to central London. Growing up he went to good boy's academies, a top student. Jack grew up fascinated with World War I. He digested all the information he could about it, The Balkans, the Western Front in France, fascinated by it all. When he was just fourteen years old Jack had a large interest in the military, which everyone guessed he would eventually. In 1939 a new War was beginning, not everyone knew it but Jack did. Germany was becoming very hungry in terms of land and although Britain and France tried to appease Hitler with a set amount of land and no more Jack knew it would not stay this way. Hitler was to power hungry to just keep what he had gotten and keep it that way. In September of 1939 Germany finally invaded Poland, and Jack began planning how to enter the military early.
World War II
Using falsified documents Jack entered the military at an early age. Joining as a regular army soldier he was first stationed in Africa to reinforce Greek territory there against the German push. In Africa he got his first taste of war. Killing fifteen German soldiers in short range engagements and many more in long range rifle skirmishes. After the Allies were pushed out of the Greek colonies Jack was transfered to the Special Air Service. There he entered back into Africa fighting with tactics developed by the SAS.
