Who is Vice?

Vice Barghest is a hellhound working as a high-ranked member of the group known as the Crossroaders. He, along with six other members of the group, has been tasked with walking the Earth as a full-time Crossroader, searching for individuals who have made a deal with Satan, worship Satan, or are simply extremely sinful, and sending them to Hell. Since his employer is Satan himself, he could considered a repo man of sorts. The Hellions are a favorite target of his.

Vice is over 200 years old. Hellhounds and demons of his age, however, typically have the maturity of human in their mid-to-late twenties. His team will typically go bowling on Friday nights, and most other nights of the week are spent at bars, telling stories. He also enjoys fifties and sixties music.

Team Vice

Vice is the leader of a sect of the crossroaders called the Earth Division. These seven demons were sent Satan in early 2010 (see below) to walk the Rogue Isles, as well as Paragon, hunting down whomever is on their hitlist.

Duke Tavros

Hellfire Jack

Ol' Stonewall

Lil' Blaze

Doom Richards

Elmo the Damned

Judgment Blaze

The Judgment Blaze is a unique weapon that Vice carries. It is a whip made of hellfire that can turn any weapon Vice wants it to, with some limitations. If he needs an axe, it turns into an axe, if he needs a rocket launcher, it turns into a rocket launcher, and so on.

One of the Judgment Blaze's limits is that it cannot turn into a bomb. Additionally, it cannot turn into any vehicle, or anything larger than Vice, for that matter.

History

Early Life

Vice Barghest was born in September of 1792 to Acerbus and Pax Barghest, two members of the crossroader force. At the time he was born, and for most of his life up until recently (see below), crossroaders primarily operated by going up to Earth's surface momentarily to find and capture whomever they're after. Naturally, since both of his parents were on the force, an occupation that is gets the utmost respect from demons, Vice grew up wanting to be crossroader himself.

At 140 years of age, having an equivalent maturity of a 19 year-old, Vice found an opening to join the crossroader force. He tried out, and was unsurprisingly found to be a natural. He was administered into the ranks very quickly. Over the next eighty years, he climbed the ranks, made a few friends with his fellow crossroaders, and became one of the most respected members of the force.

Formation of the Earth Division

Towards of the end of the year 2009, Satan noticed that a large number of beings his crossroaders were after were based in the Rogue Isles. After some thought, he decided that it would be interesting to see how his crossroaders would do whilst walking the Earth full-time. He also figured that Vice Barghest, one of the most widely respected members of the force, would make a good leader for this Earth Division. Vice took up the offer immediately, as he was excited at the prospect of trying something new. Within a few months, he had rounded up a team of crossroaders to join him, made up of both long-time crossroaders and newcomers.
