Crucible Jones was an engineer credited with inventing or co-inventing many things. He is most famous for innovative and unique energy solutions and prosthetics. He has a loose affiliation with Crey. How deep this relationship goes, or how warm it is is still a matter of debate. Ask him, and he would tell you that he is no longer on pleasant terms with them. He has recently aligned with a super group known as the Midnight Refuge.
Life, death, and Aurelia
Crux lived life under constant run from Crey, who sought the rogue engineer to either bring him back to the company, or rid him as a thorn in their side. Around May 14th, 2010, Crux encountered two unknown assailants. One of them was holding a small device that created a dampening field to prevent teleportation, effectively disabling Crux's mediporter and his armament transport system. The the other assailant then pulled gun and shot him. His teleporter disabled, Crux managed to call an ambulance using his cell phone before slipping into a coma. He did not awake and was declared brain dead the next day. He died shortly after.
During this time, a strange girl appeared and followed these events very closely. She then made contact with Jo Sterling by delivering to her Eduardo the mouse, Crux's beloved lab rat. She then revealed herself to be Aurelia Jones, Crux's daughter from an alternate yet related timeline. She explained to Jo that Crux had known of his demise long ago, and set into motion a series of events using clever time travel to continue his legacy as a crime fighter. It is yet unknown whether this future child will fit into her fathers mantel.
