Character History
Regan McKenna has been fascinated by music from a young age. She trained on the piano throughout elementary prior to shifting her focus to vocal studies in high school, where her studies had a distinct inclination towards drama and the arts. Her parents were fully supportive of her audition at the Juilliard School and justly so -- Regan was accepted in the undergraduate program with a scholarship from the school.
Her studies were intense and yet Regan thrived in the environment. When she was not studying, Regan would usually be found either volunteering in New York City with fellow classmates, spending time on an internship, or with her nose buried in a book. After a fast-paced four years Regan graduated with honours with a Bachelor of Music in Voice.
From the contacts she collected during her internships, Regan continued her studies in an unofficial manner until one director recommended she take the graduate level courses at Juilliard. However, while practicing for her admissions audition with a colleague from the orchestra, her recessive mutation revealed itself. Her associate's hearing was damaged for six weeks; Regan's voice was destroyed permanently.
For the most part Regan has accepted the mutation that derailed her career. While her voice has been reduced to a ghost of its original quality, her appreciation of music has not dimmed the slightest. It is not out of the ordinary for a passer-by to hear the strong opening of a classic piece while walking down the street outside of her apartment.
After re-evaluating her choices, Regan decided to pursue a career with the other love of her life: books. She was accepted into the MLIS program at the Croatoa campus of Paragon University. Never one to rest on her laurels, Regan went a step further to apply for the position of Arcane Researcher at the Futura Force headquarters.
Personality
Regan has a focused -- and at times intense -- outlook on life. She believes that a person should do everything they can if they ever want to reach their goals. Yet at the same time, she is well aware that the Fates will deal a strange hand and that adaptability is the key to survival. She is not the type to pussyfoot around a problem and would rather speak bluntly than waste time.

Sonic Resonance
With some experimentation, Regan has discovered the frequencies she can use to encompass an ally in protective layers of sonic waves. These layers greatly reduce any impact damage done to her teammates while allowing air to still permeate.
Sonic Blast
By using a combination of her Juilliard training and her mutation, Regan is able to project compact sound pulses at chosen targets. She has also come across snippets of information about the mythical Sirens and their seductive songs.
