Appearance
"As your gaze falls upon this young woman the first thing you notice are her large, almond shaped, ice-grey eyes--clearly her best feature. There's something, though, within those eyes...an intensity? Confusion? Both, perhaps..."
Aside from her general appearance, which is shown in the pictures, (Yes, she would be played by Christina Ricci) she also has the following little details....
- On the ring finger of her right hand, she wears a band of silver and gold, covered in a dozen diamond studs. In the form of a precious circle on it are amethyst, diamond, topaz, sapphire, and bixbite. At the center of this circle is a heart-shaped ruby. Jane is extremely proud (and protective) of this ring.

Friends
- Unruly: "...True friendship...rarely...really recognized..."
She's new to the gang, and as unsure what to think of most of them as they are of her, but she's slowly learning from them how to interact and have some semblence of 'normalcy' in relationships with others in general. For this, she's grateful to them, and they, as a whole, have her loyalty.
- Plague Factor: '"...called me...sister..."
They have something in common, in her warped mind. They're both...creepy. In their ways. At first, she just enjoyed being in his presence, knowing she put him just a little bit ill at ease. Recently, however, she's begun to see him as a brother...a protector that she appreciates, and frankly, needs. She believes he needs her just as much, in his way. And she loves him very much.
- Hoodlum: " ...Love..."
From what she's able to understand of romantic love, she believes that she truly feels it for this troubled young man. It may be that she's finally found someone who could understand her...or wants to, anyway. And she wants just as badly to see Jeremiah be the 'real him'.
- Cinereal: "...Maybe...she didn't do...the finding..."
It's unclear whether Jessica found Jane, or if Jane found the grey-skinned leader of Unruly. Either way, she's seemed rather apathetic about the details of their meeting, bothering only to mention her appreciation Jessica's gesture of bringing her into Unruly's Warehouse. She holds a loyalty to Cinereal that she feels toward no other, and credits her for giving Jane the opportunity to be close to people--something she's never had before.
- Caleb Mortron/Incendian: ".....Why....did you...."
The newcomer to Unruly has sparked Jane's interest. She wasn't sure at first what to make of the pyro-maniac, but when he expressed worry recently over her well-being, she adopted him as a friend, and began making every effort in her strange way to get to know him better.

Quotes...
Here's the place where you or I can add a quote if we like--a snippet of conversation, or just an opinion of Downheart.
Rivals/Questionable Acquaintances
Personality
"....it isn't long before you notice that something is obviously not quite right with her. She fidgets, her shaking hands wringing together or playing absently with the ends of her hair. Her voice is halting, as if she can't quite hold on to her thoughts, and struggles to do so..."
- Jane has a complicated personality, at best. Her thoughts are fleeting, and difficult for her to hold on to, causing her words to be halting as she tries to cling to them long enough to give them voice. She has a love for music and 'pretty words', and tends to use them to more easily express her feelings and moods. Jane's truest and easiest form communication is telepathic. While she's unable to verbalize her thoughts clearly, she's extremely eloquent when projecting her thoughts.
- The confusion and emotional overload caused by her empathic and psychic powers can often send her into 'fits'. In these times, she's most often found in a corner, under a table, some place she finds to be 'safe', rocking herself and fidgeting until the mood passes--especially if she's unable to "scream it out".
- The only thing known to calm Jane's fidgeting body is physical contact. She's been known to keep a friend close, even going so far as to fall asleep using their lap as her pillow, just so that she can get some decent rest. Without that contact, she never, ever stops moving.
Powers
"...She looks like something is getting under her skin...like she wants to come out of her skin...like she wants to scream."
Essentially, it's Jane's empathic and psychic powers that have triggered her sonic power. When the feelings and thoughts become too much, she has to let them out, and then comes her shriek of release. Unfortunately, that shriek has a tendancy to deafen, knock back, and otherwise torment those around her.
Pain Domination
This power is Jane's empathy (and some psychic ability manifested)...her ability to take painful emotions and physical sensations from those around her. She doesn't heal the wound, but she takes the pain itself, enabling her allies to continue on. It is, after all, the pain that stops a person from fighting, and not the wound itself. That is...until one dies. In that case, if she tries -very- hard and spends enough energy to leave her drained and exhausted for days, she is able to convince the dying mind that it can overcome, and that mind revives the body itself.
- Because I personally believe that all animals are empathic, I play Jane as such. The more any animal is around her, the stronger they feel the pain she feels. Eventually, if she is unable to help curb this, they would feel depressed, even to the point of ending their own lives. There is a similar affect in humans, but only weaker/average ones, and not nearly as strong as in animals, as animals have a much weaker will than the average human.
Once, Sickly gave Jane her very own pet rat. She loved it for all of an hour, before it scurried into the fireplace of its own accord and died there.
((More details to come.))
Additional Powers
Travel
Yeah. She flies. Because her mind says she can. Nyeah.
Weaknesses
- Jane is not insane. But because of her jumbled thoughts and emotional overload, she can appear so. She sometimes doesn't understand the simplest of ideas or statements, and often can't get her own across clearly.
- Jane is often stopped in her tracks by the color red, especially any sort of red light or red glow. There are times that this flaw gets her into trouble, for it doesn't matter if she's on a team, on someone else's 'turf', or in the middle of an important conversation. She will stop whatever she's doing to stare distractedly at "Red".
- In personal relationships, Jane has a bit of a short-term memory. If she goes more than a day or so without seeing a friend or loved one, she will forget how close they are/were, instead holding them once again at an emotional distance.
Character History
((Just kidding, there's nothing here!! But it's coming. And it'll be awesome.))
Trivial Tidbits
- Jane brakes for the color red.
- She's occasionally seen in the Warehouse with a bright pink Nintendo DS. The only game she plays on it is any version of Brain Age--and she rocks at it.
