A soft, chilled autumn evening was what greeted Jean-Claude and his wife Fiona, as they left the Four Seasons hotel that night in Boston. With the weather cooperative ... being no lack of rain ... Dr. Gironde decided to treat his wife, and newly anointed Ph.D. In mutant genetics, with a pleasant evening of a play, and then perhaps a visit to the coffee and desert restaurant, Finale, that he knew she liked. The restaurant was only a few blocks away, it would be a short walk. That night was the last night he would ever see her again - until after she had undergone "treatment" by Dr. Vahzilok.
For all his abilities, Dr. Gironde never saw the patchwork horrors until they were on them. Why they took his wife, he never knew. From that day forward, Dr. Gironde assembled a crack team of heroes that would combat terror in such forms all across the globe. So what happened to his wife, would never happen again.
