Now you see me...

He never had a problem with Emperor Cole. He wasn't rebellious, he could care less about politics. But the young man was independent, and as such, never felt the need to reveal his sorcery to Powers Division. For the young college student was a sorcerer, and a good one at that. His absent father, an explorer of the wastes outside of the glistening city, was present in his life only through the books he sent home. And in the ruins of the world, there were books filled with magic, fantastical and splendid. So, when one of these books came presented with an ancient, enchanted mask, the young man took notice. He found that using the mask, he was able to read even the most complex of magical languages, learning dozens of complicated spells as if it were nothing. His growing power fueled his thirst for knowledge, and he soon knew that one day, he would become the most powerful sorcerer in this land, or any other. He practiced every chance he could; whether it was parlor tricks for his classmates, or cantrips for citizens in danger, the young man spent all his time wielding his newfound magics, always for the greater good, practiced with a strong sense of right and wrong. Fashioning a costume for himself, including the most perfect hat, he became a true Blue Mage, mysterious and mystical, learning all he could about the magics of the world under his new moniker, Ensorcelled. His true identity was never revealed, as he could not see himself thrust into the Powers Division, and forced to put his learning aside. And, through that, he came to meet two young men who would change his life.

Now you don't!

Their names were simple; Volo X and Dusk Hawke. Like him, they attended a Praetorian university, and like him, they had abilities that made them special. He grew close to them, in a way, as they began to fight together, teaming up to create a very potent combination. Their potent combat skills allowed the young man to stay away from the attention of his enemies, casting potent spells undisturbed. They grew very adept at fighting alongside one another, and they grew closer as friends. So, when it was presented by Volo that they travel to Primal Earth, the young man was happy to offer aid to his friend. After all; Primal Earth was said to be a chaotic place, full of beings with strange powers. Surely, there was magic to be learned there. Together, the three ventured into their new home.

The Ultimate Theory: Gestalt

Primal Earth was nothing like the young man had expected, but in a way, it was so much more. He found chaos, but not the kind he was promised. He found wonderful and strange powers, and dozens of new schools of magic just waiting to be conquered. He set forth with haste, enrolling himself and his friends in Paragon University, and taking to the streets again as Ensorcelled. He caught the attention of a Professor by the name if Franklin Gaston, who specialized in working with Heroic students. The young man, having never found a father figure in his young life, quickly warmed to the professor, sharing with him an the secret identity that, to this point, had been withheld from even his teammates. Gaston shared his thoughts on Paragon with the young man, on the lack of unity in the Heroes of the city. Teamwork, he said, was lacking; and it showed. The sorcerer could not agree more, and he was quick to introduce Dr. Gaston to his teammates. The two parties inspired each other; Gaston was encouraged by the way his pupils worked together, and the fledgling heroes found strength in their advisor's words. At his urging, the team introduced themselves to Positron, of the Freedom Phalanx. And, in one night, their very own legend had begun.

The Greatest Show in Paragon.

Dr. Gaston wasn't the only one impressed with this unlikely team from Praetoria. Coupled with a handful of Primal Heroes that the Phalanx member had associated with in the past, Ensorcelled and his friends easily handled any task the man seemed able to throw them at. And, while rescuing several other heroes during a Circle of Thorns raid on Atlas Park, it was then that the young sorcerer truly saw Gaston's ideas in practice. Their teamwork saved the lives of those who thought they could do it alone. Their greatest weapons were not his magic, or Volo's speed, or Dusk Hawke's blade. It was each other. And he was convinced. With the aid of the Primal Hero of the City, Smoking Mirrors, the three decided to form their own Super Group, entitled The Gestalt Factor. They began working with more members of the Freedom Phalanx, gathering more heroes to their cause. The Gestalt Factor grew in size, and it's heroes grew in power and skill. And, as it did, the sorcerer grew stronger, learning more of the magics hidden within the city. To this day, the Gestalt Factor continues to spread it's ideals throughout the city, gathering and training like-minded and willing heroes within Paragon.

A Magician never reveals his secrets.

-Ensorcelled's Magic comes from his ability to easily copy spells, whether he sees them in the field of battle, or a book. If he's peering at you intently through his blue mask, he may be trying to do just that

-His favorite schools of magic are the urbane illusions of the Carnival of Shadows, as well as the powerful natural magics of the Cabal of Salamanca.

-He may go out of his way to seem mysterious. While not much is known about it, there doesn't seem to be the sort of crowd he'd hoped for clamoring to find out.

-When in his Blue Mage outfit, he always carries a thin sword at his hip. It rarely leaves it's sheath, and while it seems to amplify his magic, he doesn't seem adept in it's use in combat. Don't tell him that, though.

-He claims his hat is the most magical thing about him. This is yet to be proven.

-If you 'see' Jojo relaxing, you may not actually be seeing him. After a chance encounter and a boot to the face, he tends to project an illusion of himself even in social settings, remaining comfortably invisible nearby.

-Feel free to add notes noticed in your dealings with the Blue Mage!
