Esana made her home in the Rogue Isles until tradgedy stuck and she was banished to hell; where her powers were stripped from her and she was forced back into service as a brood mare for the Demonic hordes. While a year has passed in this world, 25 have passed for her in Hell.
Finally making her escape she grabbed the few possesions she had managed to retain or aquire while a slave in Hell, and made her way back. However she miscalculated. The world she "returned" to was not Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, it was Praetoria. She found herself immediately pressed into service of another kind, as a "Powered" Law Enforcement Officer. While this amused her somewhat she did as she was told while trying to get her bearings.
She hopes to find a way to unbind her wings and return to at leat some semblance of the power she had built before being sent back to Hell. But for now her wings remain locked under runes burned into her skin. Her ability to summon lesser war demons is gone as she is not sanctioned to be away from Hell. And as she is finding, she is not even connected to it anymore, her ability to draw on darkness is limited to the Sin around her.
But worst of all, the banishment came only days after finding the one person she had decided to make a life with, and now has no hope of finding.
