History
S'Rissia was only a child and just finishing the first portion of her training as a mentalist when perfect copies of the Freedom Phalanx attacked Rikti Earth on a test run. Hundreds were killed within a few moments, S'Rissia's parents among them. Several years later, with S'Rissia living by herself and studying earth culture in history books brought by emissaries from the Shadow Shard, the young Rikti felt orders to assault Primal Earth in retaliation for the merciless slaughter performed by the steam-powered monsters. Raised on the idea that violence only spawned more violence, and that the best offense was an impervious defense, S'Rissia was infuriated and decided to close herself off from the Rikti Mental Link.
After five years of a hermetic lifestyle, drinking from a nearby spring, and using her training as a mentalist to find food, S'Rissia saw the portals opening up to Primal Earth once more. Deciding that there was nothing left for her on Rikti Earth, she dived through a portal, dropping roughly at the feet of the Back Alley Brawler himself. If she had maintained her composure and didn't cry, she would likely have been killed. Confused by the Rikti girl's actions, he deemed her a non-threat and turned to the invading hordes while she slipped off into an alley.
She now fights on behalf of the Freedom Phalanx, originally in the hopes of gaining their respect, and to spite the Statesman, reasoning that being willingly aided by the child of the family that he so brutally murdered would drive him insane. However, through a complicated series of events, she has learned that the entire interdimensional war is all a plan by some diabolical madman, and has taken it upon herself to patch up relations between Humans and Rikti, and to destroy the False Phalanx.
With some help from Ouroboros, she has traveled to several different time periods to kill Lord Nemesis himself. Unfortunately, for an unknown reason, none of these deaths "held", and the Prussian Prince is still up to his usual schemes, unaware of the violence being visited upon his alternate selves. Esrie doesn't care about this much, as it has given her something to do on slow days.
Somehow, S'Rissia manages to juggle all of her dimension-hopping, time-warping, and general heroics with a personal life, and there are even rumors of her having at least one child, though nobody remembers seeing her pregnant.
Personality
Despite her traumatic past, S'Rissia has a rather cheerful attitude, and occasionally seems unrealistically happy. Though a bit shy, and sometimes childish, she is always looking for new experiences, and has taken to consuming rum whenever the opportunity presents itself.
She believes that the only people who should be actively looking at someone's thoughts without permission should be the Priests of Rikti Earth, as they alone can be trusted not to tamper with anything. To her, looking at her thoughts and memories is something akin to watching her undress, and she will attempt to counter it by bringing her most horrible memories to the front of her mind.
Abilities
S'Rissia started off somewhat clumsy with her daggers, relying mostly on the reflex-boosting enchantments placed upon her daggers. Over time, however, the other enchantments slowly destroyed this agility bonus, forcing her to rely on mobility systems integrated into her armor. Eventually, she had developed enough skill with her blades to use them out of her armor, and even in her human form should the need arise.
Equipment
- Magebane Daggers: These mysterious daggers aren't recognizable as any relics from this dimension. Their aura suggests that they were used to combat wizards, magical beasts, and the like at some point. Imbued within the blades is the ability to negate magical effects to a varying degree depending on range.
- Rikti Armor: Complimenting S'Rissia's considerable offense is a customized suit of armor. Built off of a set salvaged from a fallen Mentalist, she has gone wild with upgrades, combining a personal force barrier from a Guardian, heavier plating from the Gunmen, along with a teleportation system, and the targeting system from a Soldier's helm.
