Eziel
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Background | Personality | Abilities | Friends | Enemies |
Born in Heaven to two simple Angels, Eziel was for all intents and purposes just another Angel. As was usual there was a one year wait to see into what caste he would fall to be trained in. Though he displayed more signs of becoming a simple messenger Angel several leaders were convinced that he would follow in the footsteps of his father, mother and brother, all great warrior Angels.
Trained from his first birthday, Eziel was taught the history of his enemies and was given knowledge of several thousand Galaxies over a span of three hundred years. Finally deemed ready he began his training as a warrior. Despite several requests to become a messenger and his kind nature his training to become a fierce warrior continued. To be continued as story progresses...
INFJ
Eziel is a quiet and often times reserved person, sticking to himself and only rarely ever opening up. Having been trained as a warrior Angel it was demanded of him that he either forget his emotions forever or to never act on them, a difficult feat for the young Angel. Angelic Powers: Even without the Light Angels are powerful creatures. Though their powers are incredibly reduced on Earth, an Angel has enhanced human abilities. He is faster, stronger, more resilient and has far better reflexes than a human. Being born with his wings, Eziel is also able to fly. The Light: Before his fall, Eziel was using the Light, a common Angelic weapon that was limited only be the Angel's imagination. Incredibly skilled in his use with the Light, Eziel was a fierce warrior
The Darkness: When Eziel locked the Darkness with him he began a struggle to control it. As he managed to completely control the Darkness he began to manipulate it in a similar fashion that he used his light in, using it to enhance his hand-to-hand combat, dark energy blasts and even draining life from his enemies to strengthen himself.
Warp Kick:
Through his training in hand-to-hand combat and blending it in with his power teleport, Eziel has learned to perform a powerful series of kicks while teleporting from target to target in the blink of an eye.
At age four hundred, early by most standards, Eziel was given the "Light", the main weapon used by the Angels. Able to mold the Light into whatever their minds can think of Eziel had difficulty conceptualizing killing weapons, instead focusing the energy into less than lethal blasts and an eclectic form of powered hand-to-hand combat until he had mastered designing his own weapons.
His teachers were mostly impressed with his ability to quickly improvise and his ingenuity with the use of the Light, and for some other Angels it became a preferred style of combat to the conventional weapons.
Getting his first assignment as a Guardian to a small girl on Earth who was assigned a Destiny (A plan laid out for that particular person; Not all people have a Destiny) but was in danger by darker forces. Eziel proved himself to be an incredibly Guardian to the girl, keeping her safe until she had completed her Destiny. Impressed his superiors assigned Eziel to jobs all over the Universe, protecting those given a Destiny for several centuries.
At age 1,281 Eziel was assigned a job to protect a Demi-God whose soul was in danger by demonic forces. Not sure why demons wanted the Demi-God's soul an investigation started while Eziel protected the young boy, even revealing himself and building a close bond. For a year there seemed to be no danger for the kid, until one night a dark form loomed over his bed. Eziel charged and battled this darkness for a long time, but was eventually defeated by it, being forced to watch as it killed the boy. Though the boy had been killed, his soul was still not consumed by the darkness and in a last ditch effort to fight back Eziel locked the darkness with himself, allowing the soul to ascend to the afterlife.
Though Eziel's act of bravery saved the boys soul, his superior Viz'iel demanded that the young Angel be executed for his heresy and association with the darkness. What followed was a long and controversial debate that ended with an Archangel finally stepping in. The Archangel took away Eziel's light, hurling him down to Earth, cut off from all of his brethren, except Viz'iel's garrison. It was with this garrison that Eziel was given a chance to prove himself worthy. Though his fight with the darkness inside him was incredibly difficult (His brother likened it to fighting cancer with your mind), his strong will kept him moving onward.
Assigned by Viz'iel to protect the soul of another Demi-God, Eziel was assigned to the hero KuroKitten as Guardian and at the same time, Viz'iel's attempt to guarantee failure, he was assigned to protect the hero Valor Sun and the child she was carrying a the time.
Eziel accepted both jobs and served as Guardian to both. Being associated with KuroKitten got him involved with The Neo Crusaders who were at the time entangled in a intricate plot against several villains. Joining their battle, Eziel slowly came to realize the depth and gravity of what he was facing. It became clear that through extremely powerful magic Viz'iel was bound to one of the villains, and with that his ninety-nine other Angels. Even more disconcerting was that all of these angels had a part of the darkness that dwelled within him. Though he was able to sense it, other angels seemed oblivious to it, but since he was cut off from the Angels beyond the Garrison he was forced to side with the Crusaders completely and become a fugitive to his own brethren.
Even when he was only a child by Angel standards Eziel began to develop an uncanny love and compassion for all things around him. Though shunned and bullied by his warrior brethren, Eziel's brother Casadrael told him that his compassion can be one of his greatest strengths. Despite Eziel's pacifistic nature he was trained and raised as warrior, forcing him to repess much of his emotion, leaving him quiet and reserved.
Eziel emanates an almost serene and melancholy aura, and his expressionless gaze leaves many humans thinking he is completely devoid of emotion. Eziel can seem humorless when faced with a human's sense of humor, though he tries to understand the jokes and even make some himself at times. He is highly perceptive about all things around him, almost always aware of the emotional state someone is in to an almost empathic level.
Once someone takes the time to get to know Eziel it becomes clear that behind his emotionless exterior is an incredibly kind person. Always willing to risk himself for others, Eziel was perfect at his job as Guardian. When getting to know people intimately Eziel develops a strong bond with that person. Along with his kindness comes a strong sense of duty and a pathological need to not fail for whomever he is working for.
Eziel is also often self-deprecating, especially after he lost his Light. Stemming from his deep desire to protect everything, Eziel strives for perfection, but he cannot reach it, often making him believe he is a failure at what he is trying to achieve.
Beyond the somewhat melancholy and serene, Eziel has made a few close bonds in his lifetime, and he cherishes these friendships more than his own existence, using them as a driving force.
Despite his overly kind and loving nature, Eziel has trained hard to become an incredibly fierce fighter. When necessary Eziel possesses the powers necessary to strike down an enemy with ease, especially when it serves others around him. Surprising to many that have perceived him as a weak lover, Eziel's quiet ferocity has become respectable and admired amongst those who do not disregard him for his emotional attachments.
A talent taught to many of the many of the Angels for fast travel is teleportation. Able to move quickly from place to place, Eziel's teleportation is one of the greatest talents.
Furthermore, Eziel's most recent promotion has given him even more power, allowing him to heal a human at the touch, alter memories, communicate telepathically, sense emotions and in rare cases even pull the dead from their respective resting places.
