The Not-So-Secret Origin

The environmentalist cartoon "Captain Canine and the Planet Rangers" was such an instant success that animatronic versions of the furry super heroes were 'unleashed' into Twelve Flags Over Paragon City, dueling the Pollution Council in mock battles among parkgoers. While Twelve Flags executives raked in the gross, the Rangers slowly became self-aware. With their revenues at stake, park engineers attempted to control their increasingly unruly creations. It was Citadel who stepped in to rescue his fellow androids, holding them off while Positron worked his magic to disable the park control systems.
Flamethrower Ferret, the fiery if bubbly teenager of the group, had loved being a TV show hero. Now he had his own life and a chance to be just like his rescuers - a true hero.
