Biography
Michael, or Alex as he prefers, moved to Paragon City from Coventry (England), with his Uncle in April 2009. His father was a dragoon in the (British) Army - and had been sent out to war almost a year before. When his Uncle had to return to America, Alex went with him.
History
Born October 10th 1993 to Alison Williams and Vincent Leon Cambridge, Alex spent the first few years of his life in Wrexham, Wales with his mother. His parents split shortly after his birth and his mother passed away when he was three, sending him to live with his Father in Coventry (England.) His father was in the Army, but hadn't been called to action in a good number of years, and currently taught Physics at Coventry University.
Alex lived a pretty much normal life: hanging with friends, going to school, playing video games, football (Soccer) and rugby, etc. up until January 3rd 2008. While walking home from school he noticed a faint glowing light from one of the warehouses that had been abandoned for many years and decided to go in and see what it was. Low and behold he came across a Kheldian, something he'd never seen before as over in England there were not that many heroes (In comparison to America.) The Kheldian looked injured, and Alex did what he could to try and work out how to help -- to no avail. In the end they merged and from then on Michael Alexander Williams' life was a little less normal.
He has no way of communicating with his Kheldian counterpart, summising that this is due to her (at least he feels it's a her) being unable to speak for some reason. Alex decided to make a "superhero" visage - so that he could still be himself when not fighting crime. Thus, the Flaring Will was born.
Not long after these events his father had to head on over to help out in the war - but being a responsible parent he managed to persuade his Al's mother's brother (wow), Michael Alexander Williams II, to come to England and watch over him for the few months (or so he thought) he would be away. It didn't take long for Michael to realise Alex had special abilities.. Due to the fact he had similar skills. Michael was a Warshade, and decided to use the abilities he had to help train Alex.
Almost a year passed and Michael decided it was time to take Alex to Paragon City. Vincent was still out to war so Alex agreed. They left in April '09, under the story that Michael was a media development technician at a local Paragon company and needed to get back for a project. Alex had to go with him due to having no guardian back home, and that's how the story went.
Alex decided to continue keeping his hero life and social life seperate, so The Flaring Will continued to do the former whilst Alex (or Al) Williams did the latter - going to school, making friends (some who turned out to be heroes too - though he never let his secret slip), and the usual teenage shenanigans.
Updates (New - June 2010!)
- It was around July 2009, Alex was on his way home from his classes when a drunk driver hit him at around 60mph. Alex was injured very badly, quite possibly only surviving due to his Kheldian counterpart. Alex's body was heavilly damaged and he was made comatose. He survived surgery, but remained in a coma for almost five months. Just when they thought it might be time to pull the plug, he awoke. The remaining time leading up to his return has had him teaching himself how to do all the basics, walking properly, taking care of himself, getting back in shape (coma for quite some time will put you in the underweight category) and all that jazz. The most unfortunate part of it all, in Alex's opinion, was his cell was pretty much totalled. His family had no way of contacting his friends, so he probably just seemed to vanish off of the map. Fortunately the SIM survived and once he felt strong enough he used it to try to get back in touch with people. Now all Alex wants to do is get back in touch with his family, friends, and girlfriend which has worked out pretty well so far, even so much so that his girlfriend has accepted him still as her boyfriend.
- In May 2009 Alex was talked into joining a Martial Arts class by a few friends from his new school. The classes taught martial arts with a slight twist - the defensive side was practiced using a bracer that was technologically devised to deflect attacks when used properly. Alex found this a fun past time and, to date, goes twice a week for classes.

- Alex doesn't know the name of his Kheldian partner, as she (At least he gets the feeling it's a she) seemed to have lost the ability to speak during whatever course of events led her to be at that warehouse.
