Fosse

Family Matters:
They say family is everything. Home is where the heart is. Love conquers all.
Sebastian Order never knew his father. At age six, the man had been locked away in a mental institution - never to be seen again. In fact, the only thing his father had left behind, besides soiled and bitter memories, were several boxes that gathered dust in the attic. Forgotten.
It wasn't until eighteen year-old Sebastian moved out that his mother insisted he take some of his father's old things. "Keep them, get rid of them. I could care less," she said. And then the door shut.
He was going to get rid of them. He was until he looked inside.
Just a mask. A simple piece of fabric, clean and smooth to the touch. Is this what his father had worn? Had he been one of the Supers? Somehow, the pieces didn't quite fit. Sebastian threw the mask back in the box, but couldn't bring himself to dispose of it.
Weeks passed. Sebastian moved in to a small apartment on the west side of Steel Canyon, and he enrolled in the University. Every night, when he returned home, he felt a strange twisting in his stomach. His mind constantly was jerked back to that box. That mask.
Eventually it became too overwhelming. It kept him up at night. He could barely keep food down. His clammy hands quivered uncontrollably. He had to get rid of it.
Sebastian held the thin piece of fabric in his hands over the trash bin. Just let go, dummy. Just drop it. It's just a mask. But he couldn't. No matter how hard he willed it, the mask would not leave his fingers. Frustrated with himself, he threw it down in the sink. It hung limply over a dirty glass as a strange, deep pang of regret swelled in Sebastian's stomach.
Maybe if he tried it on, it would get out of his head. Just once.
So he did.
And the quivering voice echoed in his head as he felt himself drift into unconsciousness.
"Finally~..."
It seemed Sebastian's father had left something behind for him after all.
Two-Faced and Hating it:
The mask turned out harder to get rid of after Sebastian put it on. In fact, it never left his mind. Every time he returned home, he had to put it on. It became subconscious.
If he didn't, he felt sick. Fever hit, he shook all over - he went through painful withdrawal. He had to wear it.
And so it became part of Sebastian. The curse that it carried attached to his soul. The Ancient, Formidable Fosse and Sebastian Order were inseparable from the moment he set eyes on that mask.
Behind the Mask:
Sebastian Order suffers from a crippling disease commonly known as 'lack of self-confidence.' He is extremely shy, and does his best to stay out of people's ways.
As a child, his one act of rebellion was dying his hair purple, and he nearly got skinned alive for that. So now he tries to be polite in all possible situations, diplomatic, and utterly unimportant.
He's perfectly fine if, after meeting him once, you never remember him. Job well done, sir!
While Sebastian is not fully conscious when Fosse is in control, he can remember snippets of what happens. Almost like waking from a dream, Sebastian will often recognize people whom Fosse has interacted with. And because he doesn't want to be associated with that other side of his persona, he will often avoid contact with those he's only interacted with under the mask.
Sebastian is also clumsy as all hell.
