Background
Glenna was born in 1914 to one of Germany’s many scientists, Herrman Mengele, thus science was a part of her life since a very early age, and was a field she naturally excelled at. When she was 20, she graduated from Leipzig’s university, and had to struggle to become noticed as a competent scientist, being a member of the “weaker sex”.
Glenna, while bright and intelligent, had many anti-social tendencies and was, at times of high stress, prone to violent outbursts. As a young adult she was cold and clinical…most of the time. At times of high stress or anger, she would fly off in a rage that would put her father’s occasional bouts of impassioned yelling to shame. Glenna’s rages, however, weren’t limited to verbal abuse- she was known to physically bully other girls throughout school, and even her mother. Men she would manipulate, as, she reasoned, any man could be easily lead when promised fulfillment of certain desires (though, Glenna, as far as anyone knows, has never been with a man or woman. Those who claimed to have ‘conquered’ her oftentimes regretted such boasts…)
"Projekt Adam"
When the Adolf Hitler came into power, and the concentration camps opened, Herrmann Mengele was inducted into a top-secret scientific experiment- Projekt Adam. Projekt Adam was the attempt to make the supersoldier, the “Ubermensch”, or super-man. Glenna, being as intelligent as her father, was brought along. She helped her father with research, and recorded data. Projekt Adam, she learned later, was rooted in the early practice of genetic engineering and therapy. The process was an attempt to find old bones of humans, extract genetic strands from them and use such strands to replace less than desirable strands in living test subjects. The results were…varied. Out of the 30 subjects, only 9 survived, but those who survived, were indeed, superhuman: indeed, since they were all males, super-men Glenna, seeing the various different powers of these superhumans, saw an opportunity she could not miss. She, having intimidated some of the female staff into submission, hoisted herself into the G.R.C. (Genetic Reconstruction Chamber) and gave herself the treatment. None could have predicted what would happen to Glenna Mengele.
Frau Firebrand
The G.R.C. was destroyed in a blazing inferno. Most of the female staff helping Glenna had died: their flesh literally seared from their charred, blackened bones. And Glenna emerged something else entirely. The SS had responded quickly: thinking it was an Allied raid, but what they found was the 10th superhuman. Glenna had attained the ability to manipulate heat and flame, from throwing literal balls of fire, to heating (or even igniting!) the air around her that would melt bullets before they could touch her and, if she didn’t concentrate on her breathing, breathe fire. For this, she constructed herself a kind of ventilator that would stop her from spewing flame in times of excitement. A battery of tests were run on her, and it seems that even her body temperature was much higher than normal- indeed, much higher than should be humanly possible, but she showed no ill effects besides her blood, literally, boiling. Next flame was tested on her skin, which did not catch fire or burn. Even her hair seemed undamaged. Ice melted in her hands upon contact, and nothing short of complete submergence in water seemed to harm her (tests revealed that so long as her head remained under water, her temperature would not drop.). After the testing was done, she had an audience with the Fuhrer himself. She emerged into the public, clad in a flame-proof suit, as Frau Firebrand- the symbol of Aryan wrath and perfection. Glenna had gotten the power she so craved…
Teleportation
Glenna acted as one of Hitler’s personal bodyguard and soldier, along with the 9 other superhumans. She was also, however, still a scientist, so her work within the Third Reich was split between military operations and scientific experiments. She adhered to Nazi ideology strictly, and indeed was feared throughout Europe.
In 1940, a research team came into her lab with curious chunks of technology. When she asked what they were, the research team said that most of the information about this tech was classified for the time being, and that the only thing they could tell her is that it had come from a sunken city somewhere in the Atlantic. One such piece of the looks to be some sort of array, which was the first piece of strange technology she attempted to reverse-engineer.
History books claim that Frau Firebrand simply vanished without a trace. Until 2001.
The Future
The array, it seems, was some sort of time manipulating device, for she soon found herself in Rhode Island, 2001, in a museum where she stood infront of the array. The museum went up in flames shortly after, and Frau Firebrand fly off into the night sky.
She would come to learn of Germany’s loss of the war, and the loss of the valuable research data they had recorded during Projekt Adam. Her anger and hatred knew no bounds at first, until she realized that the earth, especially in a place called Paragon City and its neighboring Rogue Isles had a huge concentration of what appeared to be superhumans. From this, she began to hypothesize…
Goals
Frau Firebrand, now in contact with the few remaining Neo Nazi cells in the world is slowly, methodically, hatching a plan. She wants to rediscover the scientific secrets of Projekt Adam first and foremost, and she will continue her research by any means necessary. After adjusting to the shock of 21st century earth, her beloved Nazi doctraine has evolved a little- she no longer holds that only the Aryan race is superior, but rather, that every single superhuman is superior. Her definition of superhuman is also rather wide- she believes that anyone possessing superhuman training and skill, superior technology, has undergone some sort of evolution or has used ‘occult sciences’ or enhance themselves to be superhuman. She seeks the extermination of all homo sapiens, and the dominion of all ‘homo superior’ in the world. Humanity must evolve with homo superior (by using the data from Projekt Adam), or be cleansed from the earth, utterly. What better way to cleanse filth, she reasons, than with fire?
