History
Jessica Rippee was an innocent enough girl at the start. She was born to an average, stereotypical country family. She was the second youngest of four. Her father owned a ranch where they bred, broke and trained quarter horses for competition. Needless to say, Jessica and her siblings were brought up in the business and knew it better than anything else.
Aside from farm life and horses, another big thing always involved in her life was money. Jessica, just like her eldest sister, were barrel racers, who, thanks to their father, rode only the best. Which meant bringing home prize money from rodeos. Jessica, however, never saw much of said money - it all went to her parents.
Life on the front seemed good. Such was not the case behind doors. While her father was a decent enough guy, supported and loved his family, he was a bastard and pedophile who took complete advantage of Jessica. This rooted into her later hatred of most men when she mutated. Reaching out to available sources to hide what hurt and abuse she received, Jessica turned to alcohol. She stole liquor from her parent's at first. Then she began going to parties with her older siblings. By the age of fourteen, Jessica was a casual drinker. Because of this, after her mutation, she quickly developed a tolerance to alcohol reserved for Irish dock workers.
One day, for reasons unexplained Jessica's older brother snapped. He had fought with emotional issues the majority of his life, though when his high school sweetheart left him for the boy she'd been having an affair with, he lost it. Granted, this wasn't his only reason for his madness, though it was a final straw for the 'weak minded' boy. He ended up being sent to an asylum on the opposite side of the United States. All Jessica knew was it was in the West.
Things didn't get any better. At the age of eighteen, her older sister left for boot camp. Five months later she was deployed to Cuba. A disturbance a few months later resulted in a phone call to let the family know that she was missing in action. This saddened Jessica deeply, for her support - both of them - had been taken away from her.
Things didn't stop there. Living in the rural areas of Tennessee meant when Storms struck, they came down hard. Living in just the corner of Tornado alley didn't help.. One day, a storm seemed to brew and rain down harder than usual.. Nephelai, one of the daughters to the Titans Tethys and Okeanos -- or also known as Oceanus* -- had fled the underbelly of the earth where she, and the rest of the titans had been condemned. She had used this already formed storm to hide her essence from the gods. Jessica caught her eye, as the young blond fled with her family to the cellar after a tornado warning had flashed the news and interrupted their nightly programming. Nephelai could see this girl was just as passionate and angry about the current state of society. Of course, they were both angry about different things, but Nephelai took this advantage.

Storm is born
Nephelai, unknowing to Jessica, merged herself with her right then. Nephelai took over the biological format of Jessica's body, mutating her. What was once wavy blond hair became seemingly lifeless straight white hair. It was pristine. While her skin remained nice and smooth, it paled out from the healthy tan. Blue eyes also lost color, becoming a chilling ice color. The dramatic changes took hold quickly, a month or two had completed the mutation.
Doctors could not explain the phenomenon.
Aside from the physical mutation, Jessica also dampened with emotion to the point of growing bitter. What had once been hurt and depression become hatred. One night, upon delivering a goodbye kiss to her youngest sister while she slept, she departed. Jessica, with the exception of her sibling, hated everything that had been her former life. Her father, the ranch, the horses, her mother. They were all meaningless and dead to her. To her, this also meant that 'Jessica' was dead. Embracing her gifts and new outlook on life, Storm was born.

Quotes or music that remind me of the character.
--> Eat the Children - Otep This song strikes me as 'Storm' for various reasons. The beginning when Otep is softly singing sounds the way the character does in my mind. Some of the lyrics in the song also describe the character's feelings on a personal level very well.
--> Milk of Regret - Otep Again, over all feel of the song and lyrics, this is, in my mind, how Storm views her family. Her father, mostly.
