Frost Phantom was created during the City of Heroes Closed Beta by the Player "Astartus". Although the powers are still the same, the design of Frost Phantom has evolved over the years up to the currrent point. Frost Phantom was inspired by the "Ironman" figure of the selfnamed Marvel comics and the character "Iceman" from the Spiderman comics. Astartus is member of the Guruverse.

Character History
Sebastian Schneider, formerly Lab Assistant in a german Laboratory for Cryo Technologies, became the Hero known as "Frost Phantom", after a cadre of Crey Agents raided the Laboratory he worked in and severly wounded his mentor Dr. Jonathan Kreicht. The reason for this attack was that Dr. Kreicht had developed a new form of body armor that was capable of withstanding super-low temperatures - the Kreicht CryoArmor MK I.
Although Dr. Kreicht was wounded during the Lab raid and fell into a coma shortly after, he still was able to reveal the location of a secret vault to Sebastian, where Kreicht had stored the one and only prototype of his CryoArmor.
Sebastian found the secret vault and took the CryoArmor. After several test runs and constant enhancing of the armor Sebastian decided to make Crey Industries pay for the attack. So Sebastian, now known as Frost Phantom, departed towards Paragon City, where Crey Industries had their Headquarters.
When Sebastian arrived, he quickly noticed that Paragon City was in desperate need of every hero and that he would be able to achieve something with his new found powers. And although Frost Phantom fights every threat that endangers the city, he still hasn't forgotten about Crey Industries and his revenge.
Personality
Frost Phantom is a quiet, solitary character. But when he meets an acquaintance, he can be a entertaining, caring person with a urge to help and protect his fellow man.
Power
The powers of Frost Phantom are manifestations of the unique power cell the Kreicht Cryo Armor runs on. This armor uses super-low temperatures on an element of normally radioactive origin, to generate a safe and stable powersource. Encased in this Armor, Sebastian Schneider can control the millions of small nozzles across the Armor, to create layers of ice of differing thickness, alter the molecular structure of the ice or even generate large weapons.
