Major Enemies: The Circle of Thorns, The Vanhelsings

Background:

Summoned to our world by the Circle of Thorns in a vile ritual of blood and unholy magic, Gamaliel served her mortal captors for a year and a day. However, over the course of this time the deceitful succubus slowly manipulated the dark summoners into neglecting to renew the ritual that would continue to keep her bound in their servitude. Thus, once her original contract had ended, the Queen of Debaucheries slew her former captors one by one and destroyed the ancient tome containing her true name, leaving no one alive and nothing behind that retained the knowledge, which could bind her again.

During the months that followed, Gamaliel wrought utter chaos upon Mercy Island. Unfortunately, her fun was short-lived. Her obscene rampage was brought to an end once she made the mistake of attempting to seduce a young man by the name of Esias Vanhelsing. Never before had she encountered a mortal able to resist her seductive powers, much less one capable of delving within the darkest reaches of her demonic mind. She had finally met her match.

Familiar with the legend that speaking a demon’s true name holds great influence over them, Esias ripped the true name from the Queen of Debaucheries very mind. Furious over this violation, Gamaliel was all but helpless to retaliate. After several days of relentless mind probing, Esais uncovered enough information to attempt a ritual of binding with the help of the other Vanhelsings.

The ritual was a success.

However, Gamaliel managed to withhold one rather important piece of information from Esias; the ritual will not bind her forever. Thus, the Queen of Debaucheries bides her time. She will not repeat the same mistake twice. After a year and a day have passed, there will be Hell to pay!
