Appearance

Lilith looks like a petite dark skinned ‘elf’ with a very fit body. She seems to always have an easy-going smirk on her face, and seems to favor darkish pink miniskirts, a bright pink headband, and a variety of leather jackets and vests. Often, when in public, she dresses scantily, showing off her body, and letting her tiny wings out, to her own amusement. However, when in a more business oriented environment, she dons less revealing clothing, but maintains her miniskirt and headband combo. She has stated many times that her ‘headband’ is her personality.

History

Mysterious Find

There is currently no recorded history of Lilith ever being born. She was merely discovered one day in northern Argentina bundled in blankets inside an egg shaped capsule, surrounded by the wreckage of a village destroyed by what was actually a crashed starship.

Unfortunately, the ship quickly ‘melted away’, as witnesses claimed. The only remaining evidence was an infant Lilith, a black skinned humanoid creature closely resembling an elf. To date, nothing is known about where Lilith has come from, why she appears to be the only survivor of a crash, nor what she is exactly. The capsule contained nothing but very mundane blankets. No writing, no special jewelry, nothing to even bestow some hint or educational guess as to what the whole thing was about. Currently, her own headband is made from the very blankets she was wrapped in, and she often goes to great lengths to maintain it.

Early life

Lilith’s first family is currently unknown. This is mostly because it had emigrated into the United States under false names while she was still a child, and continued to change their names frequently to dodge legal trouble. However, out of concern for not confusing her, Lilith’s parents maintained her first name… The only name to truly stay solid in her entire life.

Throughout her childhood, she knew she was different. Between the inhumanly colored skin, pointy ears, and much different physiology, there was no doubt to her peers she wasn’t human. As such, she was never enrolled in any schools, and kept secret by her own foster parents, to prevent anyone from harming her.

Unfortunately, this dishonesty came at a cost to Lilith’s morality… Growing up she was taught to lie, cheat, and steal for her own survival. On one occasion, a man discovered Lilith and threatened to inform authorities, when her foster father killed him in retaliation, hiding the body never to be seen again.

Furthermore, as she turned 13, she began venturing out into the world more often. Interacting with others in her little slums town, only to discover the whole reason her family was able to hide out there was because the town was practically run by gangs and a local mafia. Police presence was minimal, and whatever presence there was, was crooked and easily bought.

After Lilith had passed through puberty, she also noticed a change in her body that was different from humans. Her body seemed to build strength better, her hormones never quite escalated out of control, and she never menstruated. Her frequent exercise also furthered her abnormally fit frame, allowing her to run faster and hit harder. She also exhibited much quicker wit and intelligence than just about any human she spoke with…

Her body also earned her the lasting nickname “Ghost”. As whenever she walked about in darkness, she appeared to have the grace of a spirit, and the white hair and dark grey skin did not serve to disprove that statement. Since then, Lilith has often referred to herself as “Ghost Lilith”.

She was 16 when she discovered the epiphany that would forever run her life and the way she handles things. Lilith noticed that, even when simply walking in a public place, men seemed easily distracted by her. And not just her, but by any female that appealed enough. At first she was flattered by this… But as time went on, it disgusted her how this was always handled.

Human women played such emotional inferiors to the men. It disgusted her. Clearly they had the power… It was the males that desired them, not the other way around. To prove this to herself, she set about testing this theory… Approaching teenaged men at random, and promising them ‘favors’ in return for jobs they could perform. Sometimes these jobs would be terrible and humiliating. It seemed that just a little shamelessness went a long way in controlling and manipulating just the right people. She was soon convinced that males only have power because they suppress female’s awareness in society, and it would be a simple matter of exchanging whom is truly the dominant half of the species, given enough time.

Lilith’s Rise to Power

In her 20s, Lilith mastered her manipulative abilities enough that she had started her own gang in her own hometown. When her parents attempted to stop her on this, she merely murdered them in cold blood, as they had outlived their usefulness to her. But her hunger for power was not satiated, and she gradually aimed higher and higher. Manipulating people in her own gang, and those of the local mafia, to her will, she soon controlled the whole town, taking over the small ring of drugs and other black market goods, practically owning the local police force via payoffs, bribes, and blackmail.

As decades progressed, her operations started becoming more widespread… Providing drugs to international buyers and selling guns to African and South American rebels and private armies. As she started procuring armaments from other sources, she soon moved her primary operations to the Rogue Isles just as World War 2 commenced, which proved to be a very profitable venture.

While in the Rogue Isles, she managed to scrape together a small private army from the many individuals seeking escape from authorities, and forced them to undergo a harsh training regimen to be more useful. (This would gradually become more refined until Lilith had begun employing operations specialists and field medics.) During the World War 2 conflict, Lilith made a fortune in selling arms to the involved countries, finding weapons by raiding Arachnos and United States armories, or just by purchasing surplus weapons from countries in peacetime.

Lilith has been involved in every war, to date. Providing weapons and black market tech to whoever was willing to pay for it, for the welfare of their country. This was until she was finally caught…

Imprisonment

After nearly sixty years, a small group of heroes discovered Lilith’s base of operations, and sought to put an end to her power.

While Lilith was overseeing a sale, special forces, Kheldian symbiotes, and a number of Paragon Capes besieged the building she was located in. The ensuing shootout claimed the lives of almost everyone present, excluding several Capes and Lilith herself. Out of ammo, and clearly in no position to negotiate or manipulate her way out, Lilith was finally captured and brought to Justice, sentenced to life in the Zig.

”Release”

It wasn’t long before Lilith was manipulating people from inside the Zig. Other inmates bent to her will easily and even guards gave her preferential treatment at times. Though this wasn’t always the case, as there were definitely other guards that hated what she was, and resisted her charms. Crooked guards frequently took advantage of her, often torturing her violently with nightsticks and tazers. It was the first time males ever managed to dominate her, and she was not going to have any of it.

Her private army was still loyal to her, and made a deal with Arachnos. They assisted in the assault on the Zig, breaking Lilith out of her imprisonment. Instead of leaving with the other villains being ‘released’ via the Arachnos flier, Lilith personally hunted down every male that beat, raped, and tortured her in the prison, using her magic to drain them of life painfully, and killing them off.

She commandeered a longbow chaser that had landed in retaliation, returning to the Rogue Isles where she could rebuild her empire.

Currently

Lilith’s empire is nowhere near the size it once was. Where she once had thousands of men in her private army, she has been reduced to just under a hundred in her absence. She now raids Crey, Malta, and Council buildings to provide black market tech, weapons, and chemicals to perpetuate her gun and drug trade.

Currently, she provides weapons to gangs in Paragon, international terrorists, and has even been providing the Vanguard with occasional technology to fight the Rikti. Slowly, Lilith is rebuilding her empire from the ashes it was left in. Luckily, she hasn’t been a high enough target for heroes to put forth the effort of breaking so deep into the isles to find her, but when she does, this time she shall be ready.

Organizations and Affiliations

Der Chantry

Due to Lilith’s light magical abilities, she works closely with an occult guild situated in the Rogue Isles. There she learned to refine her magic, and has even gained numerous allies, and even a friend or two, to assist in her ascension to power again.

While in Der Chantry, a demonic librarian, Esther Shilock overheard Lilith complimenting her on her wings. Esther planted a ‘seed’ into Lilith’s back which gradually sprouted a tiny pair of wings. They’re useless for flight, but Lilith has grown fond of them aesthetically.

What she will not admit, however, is that for a time, half of her soul was owned by the rogue succubus that leads Der Chantry. This was averted much later, however, when she spent a night with a demon, and sacrificed a small child, for the return of her entire soul. Another side effect is that she now has the ability to tap into a demonic presence inside of her, allowing her a brief period where she is stronger, faster, and more agile. This causes her wings to grow tremendously, and her eyes to glow.

She remains with Der Chantry, however, as it provides much needed assistance in her rise to power.

”Friends”

(Feel free to add a character quote to any of these entries, if you’re the player of that character.)

Altan Lilitu

One of the only males Lilith can somewhat see as coming close to being equal with a female. His devotion and loyalty to her has been invaluable, and is currently the only male to have ever seen her ‘cry’. Were it not for Lilith’s fierce ‘anti-monogamy’ philosophy, she might even claim to love him. But she does not believe in such a concept.

Ssalassar

The “snake-male”, Salazar, worked briefly for Lilith as her henchman. He proved to be many times more competent than a dozen of her own men working together. She developed a minor fascination over time that eventually blossomed into ‘her’ version of a ‘friendship’. However, this has been tempered many times, between her snide blunt comments to his physiology, and bitching about his growing morality, their relationship is something of a rollercoaster which cannot end well.

Powers/Abilities

Weaponry

Lilith always carries a variety of hidden weapons, to accompany her submachine gun and pistol. She is a skilled marksman, although far from the best as she often relies on others to shoot for her. She carries hidden knives as she frequently finds herself in situations where a hidden weapon is most convenient, often feigning her own capture to assassinate a troubling target. (Though this is usually a matter of convenience. She is sooner to hire a real assassin than do it herself.)

Dark Miasma

Lilith has always had a strange ability that appears to be magical in origin, as nothing in her biology explains it. She is capable of sapping energy from people via contact, and using it to heal injuries in herself and others. With this, she is even capable of bringing people out of comas and other forms of unconsciousness, if it’s not too severe, but this leaves the victim drained and dazed.

In her time with Der Chantry, she even learned some extra magic which allows her to summon a Dark Servant to her aid. She doesn’t know anything about this servant, other than she has total control of its color and that it seems to possess dark powers of its own.
