Introduction

Ghost Raider is a level 16 Electric Melee/Shield Defense brute, with a magic origin. She's a member of Anathema. My inspiration for her came largely from Indiana Jones, at least in her original conceptualization. I decided I have a sufficient number of "ass-kickers" and wanted to try something a little different. I kept some of the Indiana Jones' elements by tying Raider's background into one of my hero's stories, a tale which has never really been told. (Mostly because I rocketed Midnight Reaver to 50 in a matter of weeks.) There's also some of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time thrown in as well.

Personality

Raider is both child and battle-hardened warrior. She's unsure or confused about "modern" life in a number of ways. She probably wouldn't fit in very well with her peers if she were dropped off in a mall or on a college campus. The Internet, clothes shopping, and dating are all things she doesn't quite understand - though she's learning rapidly thanks to "the Google." There's an innocence to her in that she's been sheltered from having to worry about her path in life. Raider didn't have to wonder if she'd fit in at school or if she'd get a date to prom or if she'd go to college. Those things were not in her realm of existence and as such, Raider was more concerned about her right hook and mastery of defense spells. The Isles are somewhat familiar to her, at least in terms of fighting to survive. But the interactions with other people and relying on strangers for assistance isn't exactly something she gets.

Large crowds tend to cause anxiety. Masks and bizarre costumes frighten her, though she seems perfectly comfortable around murderers, demons, werewolves, and vampires. When she's comfortable, Raider is very polite and generally quite interested in her companions. She's inquisitive and often very analytical, questioning things that don't make sense to her. Her sense of humor is probably on the sly side. She wouldn't find Adam Sandler particularly funny, but she'd laugh till she cried at Eddie Izzard. (If you don't know who Eddie Izzard is, look him up immediately. I'm serious. Do it right now. NOW!)

For all her nervousness and shyness, Raider is hard to intimidate on the field of battle. Once she's engaged in a fight, she is difficult to stop. Honor and strength mean very different things to her than a number of the Isles' other inhabitants. For example, if someone threatens Raider with death or injury, she immediately dismisses them serious threats. Respect is earned, not demanded.
