Personality
Karli is a sweet and innocent girl on the outside, that likes dolls and butterflies, pink and sweet things. She seems little more then a girl of five most of the time, despite having not even reached her first birthday. She enjoys being held, hugged and kissed, giggling and playing. She is never without her stuffed animal tiger, and hugs him frequently when she is feeling down, enjoying the chance to pout and be dramatic.
On the inside she is mentally mature, having all the memories of her nineteen year old mother and her mother's five hundred year old nictus symbiot. She enjoys playing the child, getting the attention and love that comes with it. She is still a child, however, and though she has their memories she knows they are not hers, and is able to make her own decisions on them, making her still herown person. She needs the guidance of adults to help he make the right decisions, and she's grateful for it.
Powers
As a Kheldian, Karli is a being of light energy. She is almost like a power generator, there is so much energy being produced inside her at all times. She has a great deal of control of the ebb and flow of her power, moving the energy about her she can use it to lift herself and up to seven other people off the ground with ease, though her range is limited. She can infuse others with her energy, healing their wounds at a far faster rate then normal. She can also release stores of energy from within herself to do the same to her own body. She can also form her energies around her in protective shields when needs be. In combat Karli has the ability to form semi-gelatinous balls of light that she can throw. She can charge her energy around her fists, discharging them on impact. As a last resort she can empty all of her reserves in an enormous explosion that she can only barely direct and control, though it leaves her weak for a short time.
What she can not do is change shape. Try as she might, she is unable to reform her body to mimic the form of previous hosts she knows about because she herself has never been joined. Since she is not a symbiot like her kind are supposed to be, she lacks the practical knowledge to control her energies in that manner.
Character History
Karli is an anomoly. In her own words, "A freak of nature." She is a Kheldian who does not need a host to survive. Karli's father, though even her mother didn't know it at the time, was a Demigod. His powers were untold and his life ever lasting. Her mother was a Warshade, beyond that she was also a mutant from a very special line of mutants. Every female member down the line from the beginning was blessed with some form of energy manipulation, a power Karli was also granted. The powers granted by her mothers blood combined with her father's supernatural blood made Karli a wholey unique and truly powerful creature.
Life before birth
Darkhaze, the reformed Nictus joined with Karli's mother, recognizing her power and potential attempted something the Nictus had not done in millenia. He made a spark, infusing it with his memories, and let it pass from him to the newly created life, still little more then a collection of cells. The spark, born fully aware latched onto the life, draining it as it merged, not knowing better. The spark quickly realized it's mistake and tried to pull back, trying to rejoin its parent, but it was too late. It had completely absorbed the life, and in doing so something happened within the spark. The unique nature of the life's physiology altered the spark at the most basic level infusing the spark with it's own power and polarizing its very energies.
