History
Florian Schwarz was born on August 12, 1902, in the city hospital of Ulm, Germany. His childhood was relatively sheltered, burying himself in his family's extensive library. He went to the University of Munich, majoring in Archaeological Anthropology. Afterwards, he led a relatively uneventful career excavating old German ruins in Brandenburg and surrounding states, rarely finding anything of value aside from the random small village or hamlet that held little historic value.
That changed in 1935, when he was recruited by the Third Reich to work on a government-funded project to locate and excavate items of nationally historic importance. Although he was reluctant, having both a moral opposition to the Nazi party and a lack of motivation to work on something other than his own project, he had no choice but to accept. On his first exploration, he was requested to find the gauntlet of Götz von Berlichingen, a German mercenary who had a prosthetic right hand. What neither the Reich nor Schwarz knew was that Götz' literal 'iron fist' was actually one in a pair of two powerful magical artifacts - Die Schwarze Fäuste.
