Becoming a Hero
Nolan has always been a really laid back guy, he is someone that trusts people easily and cherishes friendships dearly. So when he heard that his girlfriend of three years had been cheating on him for the past six months he didn't take it in stride. When you're sixteen any break up is tough, but this one hurt him deeply. He got angry, really angry, triggering his mutant gene. Lights started to short out, things started floating, and his living room as a whole seemed to fall apart. Needless to say Nolan's life took a drastic turn.
Growing up in Paragon he was used to seeing heroes fly by and always dreamed that one day he would be able to be like them. So when he his mutation activated he knew his time had come. He immediately began to train his control of these new abilities. Unlike a lot of mutants, his parents embraced his ability, his dad being a firefighter for paragon he had come to rely on heroes help and therefore accepted his mutation proudly. Being only sixteen though he decided that he would finish out high school then become a full-time hero.
After he graduated he fulfilled his dream, catching a lucky break and moving in with a friend with loaded parents. While his friend attended Founder's Fall University Nolan roamed the streets fighting crime. Though it was only a couple of months before he realized he wasn't making the differences that he always dreamed of. It wasn't until he met Nigredo Fist of the New Age Mutants that he started doing anything beyond fight low-profile street crime.
The New Age Mutants
Shortly after meeting Nigredo Fist, Nolan knew the group that he needed to be part of. So after a quick interview Nolan was a official member of NAM. And it was through NAM that Nolan started to become the hero he always wanted to be. The New Age Mutants allowed Nolan to have access to help not only other mutants, but also the world in ways that looked impossible to him.
Through the New Age Mutants he was able to meet some of the best friends he has ever had. One such friend is Jacob Fayte, the crazy, funny, outrageous, blue-haired mutant that has gotten Nolan into more trouble than he can count has come to become one of Nolan's closest and best friends. Jacob is one of the few people that make Nolan stop thinking like a logical adult and do things only children do. But, even with all that, Jacob is a friend that Nolan may not always be able to trust, but can definitely expect to be a close long-term friend.
Another such friend, has become more than just a friend to Nolan, she is more like a sister. When Sylvia first joined NAM she was shy, lacked confidence, and had no control over her ability. Nolan was there to help when he could and not only taught her some tricks to control her power, but also helped her come out of her shell a little more. Through this, they grew close and Nolan now views her as a big sister and knows that he always has her to go to with anything he may need help with.
Promotion to Seneschal
After Nigredo Fist left the New Age Mutants things took a turn for the worse, and a drastic measure had to be taken. With no Seneschals to step up and take the mantle, Nolan and his co-NAM member Raven were asked to step up and take on the title. NAM being such a big part of his life Nolan had no choice but to say yes. So Nolan has taken the position and is doing his best to set things straight.
Delilah
When Nolan first saw her in the Ski Chalet he wasn't able to believe that he was not only charming The 'Delilah' but also that he was completely taken away by her. Nolan fell for her in the Ski Chalet and has gotten up since. She is the one person that he would do anything he possibly could for, and the one person that if she asked he would throw everything away for. She is his sole inspiration to be everything he can be and more.
