This is Gwen's black velvet chinchilla. Saving up what money she could come by, Gwen decided to spend it on a chinchilla she saw in passing. While it may have been a rash decision, she doens't regret it. Gregory keeps her company and gives her someone else to talk to. He's often in the pocket of her trenchcoat when she is relaxing.
