Before his mutation, James Andrew was a marine who was selected in a top-secret mission underneath the ocean. During the mission, his containment suit was contaminated by a sample of radiative goo that burned through the material, causing him to mutate into a creature resembling a shark. Although the military affirmed that he was dead, in truth James had been reborn as deadly living weapon. Hammer Shark was born.
