Hero days
Jay was always a heroic guy who did shady things. Since an early age he took on anyone who wanted to fight him. He started a heroic career where he donned his old Hellion clothes. Statesman saw him as a kid who wanted to do good in the world when he turned in several dozen Hellions who planned to kill a doctor who was helping people who were transforming slowly into trolls. Jay was nearly sent to the Zig but Statesman vouched for him. He was given the title of Hellion Hero and allowed to become a hero under the watchful eye of the Freedom Phalanx. During this time he was a valued member of the hero community as he often helped uncover plots by Nemesis, Crey and his specialty Gangs such as The Trolls, Outcasts and Skulls. He was a great crime fighter and even once or twice saved the world from threats such as the planned Crey Control Bug being released into the air and the Carnies' soul eater device.
Villain Days
He found that even though he fought crime in Paragon it was in vain. So he set off for the Rogue Isles to do some damage to the villain's center of operations. He recruited several of his bounty hunting allies and formed them into the 5th Street Hunters who began a crusade in the isles to defeat villainy. He found that many villains were misguided individuals that had no choice so he took pity on them and decided to try to redeem them. He met many of his allies at this time and soon he was regarded as a villain by Paragon's finest all except the Freedom Phalanx who knew what he was doing and secretly supported him by giving him supplies and weapons. He always took the heroic path and helped those in need such as the poor in the Haven house and the mutated Arachnoids. One day he was finally called a villain after he attacked a team of Longbow who wanted to torch a building where a 5th Column leader was holed up in Nerva. He attacked the Longbow to save the lives of more than 50 innocent civilians who lived in the same building.
Spark Scarab
He quit the life of Heroism and Villainy and began to settle for something more. He wanted peace but a price was on his head. Heroes and Villains attacked him from every side and soon Jay hated the world. He found a mystic scarab within a Egyptian Pyramid which gave him super human strength and invulnerability . With this power he chose to show the world that even though the world was against him he still thought of himself as a hero and began to become a hero once more.
Present Day
Jay was recently sent to the Rikti Earth to try and look for more Omega Team members. He found many prisoners but the Rikti captured him and experimented on him. This awakened his superhuman powers that lay dormant inside him. He now had the ability to absorb powers and traits from creatures. With this power he could rule the world but Jay's Morality is stronger than his greed or thirst for power and so rarely uses his powers to help alter the outcome. He now spends his time watching over his friend's daughter Aldora while still being a "hero"
Equipment
Here's a quick run down on the gear he carries around with him
Twin Tech 9 machine pistols Mementos of his past gang life. He made himself a twin set of master crafted Tech 9s. They are modified to accept any clip of ammo to help reloading much easier.
Monocle of Worlds Jay always wears this monocle on his face which he found after fighting a group of Warriors who raided a portal corp lab full of ancient artifacts from alternate worlds. The monocle allows Jay to see alternate worlds, futures and the ability to see the past.
Shifter Soul Blade A blade given to him by a group of Dimension traveling heroes called the Shifters. This blade can take the form of a knife one minute and change into a Greatsword the next. One slash of the blade does a ton of harm but also slashes at your soul.
Dimension Breaker Gloves These gloves were taken off a fallen Shifter. The gloves allow Jay to rip portals into the multiverse at any moment he desires as long as he can control them. If anything goes wrong he could virtually flood the entire world full of dimensional horrors but hey guy's got great willpower and control.
Dusk Vest His vest is made up of a strange material that allows the wearer to become incorporeal. The material is bulletproof, and resistant to weather and time.
Random firearms Jay keeps a few firearms inside his vest such as Uzis, Flintlocks, and an AK-47. He also keeps a few blades inside.
Survival Packs He keeps a medikit in his vest and pockets, a few blood packs to keep vampires happy, Emergency pocket teleporter and some MREs (meals ready to eat) which consist of burgers, crackers and other foodstuffs.

What others have to say about Hellion
"Seems to have most of his marbles. Makes phenominal burgers. He's yet to undercook the bacon in my food, so I guess he's ok."
