This character is one that has evolved over the years into what he is now since I made comics as a kid. He is really the only character I play in CoH and have had a great time, but now Hero Alpha is living in DCUO.

Bio

Jot Kett was bored with life. Bored with everything around him. Around 20yrs old he had accomplished nothing, failed outta college, no money and no future. One thing he did day dream about was being a super hero like the ones in the comics he read or real live heroes like Statesman and Hero 1. This lead to his ultimate life changing decision. Driving thru the city and passing the Army recruiting office he thought, why not. Like that Jot joined the US Army. Becoming a medic he felt could do the most good with less danger. However the oncoming first Rikti Invasion of 2002 didn't come to mind.

During a mission all his platoon were killed by the Rikti. Scared and alone he saw a white light, a Kheldian alien. It spoke to Jot saying it was in danger from the Rikti just as he was and its name was Alpha. At the time neither realized Alpha was a Kheldian, Jot never seeing one and Alpha injured and confused from a Rikti attack. Jot asked if it was an angel, as it was a bright glowing floating light, that was what Alpha then believed he must be. Jot being unstable and in shock took that as seeing is believing. Offering to instinctively bond together and that was the only way to save them both. Jot agreed and they became one. What happened next became a hazy blur to them both for the next couple years. The only memory of what happened after was something Jot could not believe he heard, the blood curling screams of the Rikti along with blinding lights.

Later after being rescued and thinking more clearly, but hearing a voice inside his head, Jot went to the base doctor. Jot told him that he had bonded with an angel and was on a holy mission chosen by this angel to deal out justice. Of course thinking him crazy, the Army discharged him. Now home and seemingly insane he began trying to silence the voice in his head with narcotic opioids when the meds the doctors gave him didn't work. Slipping further into insanity and addiction 2yrs later, Jot was walking down an alley one night when suddenly he heard a strange sound. Seeing a red flash and feeling intense pain he looked up to see a figure coming closer. The shock of the quantum rifle had brought Alpha somewhat to his senses. Next they instinctively held up their arm and a blast of white light came out hitting the Void Hunter taking him out. Flying away and in shock, Jot heard the voice explain it was a symbiote. It was here to protect humans and that they had bonded together to form a new being, a Peacebringer.

Currently

After taking the alias Hero Alpha, Jot has been reinstated with the Army/Vanguard. Along with his current mission to stop the Rikti it is also personal since they killed his platoon. Also Hero Alpha has been working with Twilight Son, a Kheldian Ouroboros Mender, who has came back in time to stop the event that caused him to be the last Kheldian. In which supposedly "The Coming Storm" as the Menders call it, used the Kheldians to power there massive ships. Whether or not the Menders can be trusted is still in question. There are rumors that Twilight Son actually sold the Kheldians into slavery and escaped to this time. Recently the Well of the Furies from Greek mythology has bestowed some of its power to Hero Alpha and started him on the path of the Incarnate.

Personality Profile

From US Army personnel files: Corporal Kett, Jot alias Hero Alpha. Kheldian symbiote Alpha Vau.

Cpl. Kett has in the past been diagnosed with OCD (obsessive compulsion disorder). Now with an alien symbiote bonded to him, his personality disorder seem to be made worse along with delusions he is on a holy mission. Cpl. Kett is at times, unstable, but with proper meds and weekly treatment sessions we should see some improvement. He is often seen sitting alone talking to his symbiote. The Kheldian bonded to him is called Alpha Vau. It claims to only remember clearly the last 8 years. The symbiote also seems to suffer from the same delusions as it claims to have been on earth during biblical times as a messenger. This makes Hero Alpha(human and kheldian bonded) a peacebringer as they are designated by the government. Alpha seems to be loyal and compassionate to the human race as it came here to "save us". When Alpha Vau was injured by the Rikti and just before bonding to Cpl. Kett, it had a form of negative energy bond to it. The Rikti weapon that injured it also gave the side-effect of adding possible negative energy damage to Hero Alpha's attacks. This is along with the normal energy attack of a kheldian. It also slightly weakened them when in their "nova form" or Mefnanim form. Either from this or Jot's willpower they seem to have not bonded completely into one personality, as they seem to communicate with each other at times. The kheldian half of Hero Alpha shows no other negative physical signs/symptoms of the Rikti attack. Both, together as one as of FEB 2008, are fit for active duty and assigned to Paragon City under the supervision of Vanguard.
