The Hexenhammer is planar travelling mage who derives most of his powers from various deals with even more various demons, devils, and slightly les benign spirits. Having arrived on Primal Earth in the Etoile Isles, he learned quickly the harsh rules of Arachnos - the strong do as they wish and the weak obey or die. Having long sought asylum in Paragon City, Longbow has employed many below-board tactics to stall his emigration process due to his many run-ins with Longbow agents. The people of the Isles are familiar with his mercenary nature. The Hexenhammer is willing to assist anyone for the right price.
Origins
The Hexenhammer does not speak of his past except in the vaguest sense. He was taught the magical arts by a cruel teacher, who he escaped from once he knew how to walk the aeons.
Powers
The Hexenhammer's most obvious powers, the electrical shields that protect him and the energy he projects to harm others, are part of a pact he signed with Bat'Zul, the beast that sleeps beneath Cap Au Diable. Little is known of the specifics of this pact, as neither the Hexenhammer or Bat'Zul are forthcoming on details.
His furious battle instinct and ability to leap great distances derive from weaker demons either flayed into spirit forms and bound into his flesh or flensed into his armor.
His remaining powers derive from his own magical skills.
