House of Antaeus

When Poseidon’s son the Giant Antaneus, was defeated by the Hero Hercules, the Goddess Nike mourned his death. Her tears mixed with the blood of the mighty giant and dripped into the Sea. There Poseidon took the foam of the sea and added the blood and tears. From that he crafted a Merman who took the Family Name Antaneus from which he drew strength. Shortly after Atlantis came to its resting place he and his own traveled there. Ever since he and his decedents have fought alongside the city.

A small variety of Mer-folk they share many of the same characteristics with the Meridian. They are usually tall most standing 7-8 feet in height birth male and female. Their patron is Poseidon from whom they claim is their progenitor. Virtually all of them are marital in some manner they view magic at best as a necessary evil.
