Biography
Hyperhaste was recruited to the Praetoria Powers Division, and took on tasks from a wide variety of Loyalist and Resistance contacts. As he saw it, he only wanted to do right by the people in the city in which he lived and cared little for the dark politics that had a shadowy grip on society. But as his assignments led to possibly forbidden actions, he began to question his own morality as a Praetorian citizen. His "discovery" of the entities of Primal Earth, most notably Arachnos and Longbow, furthered his confusion.
Presented with the task of diverting Arachnos' attention from Praetor Keyes' reactors in Neutropolis, Hyperhaste ultimately fled to the new realm with the help of Provost Marchand and surfaced in Paragon City.
Powers and Abilities
Hyperhaste possesses a mutation that grants him feats of super speed. His powers not only allow him lightning-fast cognition and motor skills, but has also given him highly enhanced metabolic and regeneration rates. Everything Hyperhaste does seems to be in in a fast-forward state (even speaking without restraint is too fast to be intelligible), though through (sometimes intense) concentration he is able to control this. The mutation has also caused Hyperhaste to age faster than most others: despite his adult stature and mature attitude, he claims to have only lived for thirteen years.
When faced with a need to defend himself, he relies on the use of kinetic martial arts techniques that he learned from both his parents and the Powers Division.
